Several NHTSA recall campaigns surfaced for 2025-model-year Ram trucks, but none should be treated as applying to every truck of a model. Check your truck’s VIN or license plate in NHTSA’s recall lookup to confirm whether it has an open campaign. NHTSA says recall repairs are free at the manufacturer’s dealership.
2025 Ram recalls by model and campaign
The campaigns below are the records identified for this article, not a guaranteed complete inventory of every 2025 Ram recall. Model-year coverage describes potentially affected vehicles, not every vehicle sold under that model name. Confirm eligibility by VIN before acting.

| Model(s) | NHTSA campaign | Reported issue and scope |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 Ram 1500 | 25V231 | A software error may cause an incorrect tire-inflation-pressure message to appear on the instrument panel. Only certain vehicles are involved. NHTSA campaign information |
| 2025 Ram 3500 | 25V297 | Certain trucks equipped with a 3.5-inch instrument cluster and column shifter may show the selected gear late on the PRND display. The report identifies a limited suspect population; it does not apply to every 2025 Ram 3500. NHTSA campaign information |
| 2025 Ram 2500, 3500, 4500 and 5500 heavy-duty models | 25V882 | A secondary listing describes an air-bag/restraint-control module and electronic-stability-control issue. Check the NHTSA campaign record for verified details and VIN eligibility. NHTSA vehicle lookup |
| 2025 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500 and 5500, including listed chassis-cab variants | 25V826 | A software error may cause the instrument-panel cluster to display blank. NHTSA’s notice lists 72,509 potentially affected vehicles across the covered 2025–2026 model-year vehicles and lines; that is not a 2025-only count. NHTSA vehicle lookup |
| Selected 2025 Ram 2500 and 3500 | 26V225 | A 3.5-inch instrument-panel cluster may be inoperative at startup or while driving. This campaign was filed in 2026 and lists 65,348 potentially involved vehicles across its 2025–2026 populations, not just 2025 trucks. NHTSA vehicle lookup |
How to check whether your 2025 Ram has an open recall
- Find the 17-character VIN on the vehicle or its paperwork.
- Enter the VIN—or use the license-plate search—in NHTSA’s recall lookup.
- Review each open campaign and contact a Ram dealership to arrange the repair. NHTSA says recall repairs are free at the manufacturer’s dealership.
A general model-year page can show campaigns associated with a vehicle line, but it cannot establish that a particular truck is included or whether its repair has already been completed. VIN eligibility is decisive.

Why some 2025 Rams appear in a 2026 recall
Recall campaign filing year and vehicle model year are different. Campaign 26V225 was filed in 2026 but includes selected 2025-model-year Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks, alongside 2026 vehicles. Its 65,348-vehicle figure covers both model years, so it should not be presented as a count of 2025 Rams alone.

What the campaign numbers do—and do not—tell you
Each campaign concerns a distinct reported condition: tire-pressure messaging, delayed gear display, a restraint/stability-control issue, or instrument-panel display failure. Equipment configuration and production population can narrow applicability further. For example, 25V297 identifies trucks with a 3.5-inch cluster and column shifter.
Campaign 25V297’s NHTSA report gives 778 vehicles potentially involved in the recall population and separately notes a total affected count for the model of 238. Those figures refer to differently described populations in the report and should not be combined or interpreted as the total number of all 2025 Ram 3500s affected. Use the campaign report and VIN lookup for the individual vehicle.
