The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T came only with a six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. It was available as a coupe or, for the first time, a Cabriolet. Porsche rated its 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer six at 388 hp and 331 lb-ft, and described the T as a lighter, more focused Carrera with standard rear-axle steering and specially tuned suspension.
“Last manual-only luxury sports car” is not a defensible present-day description: the phrase makes a broad industry claim, and Porsche announced a manual Carrera S for North America in 2026. The accurate distinction is that the 2025 Carrera T itself was manual-only.
Was the 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T manual only?
Yes. Porsche offered the 2025 Carrera T with a six-speed manual as its only transmission, driving the rear wheels. Porsche said it used the first six ratios of the seven-speed manual fitted to the preceding 992.1 Carrera models. That makes the T a manual-only version of the 2025 911 lineup; it does not make it the last manual-only luxury sports car across the industry.

Engine and manufacturer-quoted performance
Porsche Cars North America’s October 2024 launch release lists a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged boxer six producing 388 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque. Porsche quoted 0–60 mph in 4.3 seconds for the coupe and 4.5 seconds for the Cabriolet. Its listed top track speeds are 183 mph and 182 mph, respectively. Weight and chassis
Porsche called the T the lightest Carrera variant and listed the coupe at 3,316 lb. The company attributed some of the weight reduction to lightweight glass and less sound-deadening material. Rear-axle steering is standard, and the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) dampers receive Carrera T-specific tuning. These details distinguish its specification; they do not, by themselves, establish how it compares in a road test with another 911.
Could you buy the 2025 Carrera T as a Cabriolet?
Yes. The 2025 model was offered as a coupe and, for the first time in the Carrera T line, as a Cabriolet. The coupe is the lighter body style in Porsche’s published figures: it weighs 3,316 lb and has the quicker claimed 0–60 time and higher listed top track speed. The Cabriolet trades those figures for an open-top configuration. Porsche’s release lists no Cabriolet weight, so a direct weight comparison cannot be made from these figures.

How much did the 2025 Carrera T cost new?
Porsche announced U.S. launch MSRPs of $134,000 for the coupe and $147,300 for the Cabriolet, each before a $1,995 delivery, processing and handling fee. Those prices were announced in October 2024. They are not current MSRP, used-car valuations, out-the-door totals, or a guarantee of what any buyer paid. Is the Carrera T still the only manual 911?
No. In an August 13, 2026 announcement, Porsche said a six-speed manual would return to the North American Carrera S through an MT Package, in coupe and Cabriolet forms. Porsche also said it then offered seven conventional-manual 911 variants in North America. That is a North America-specific lineup statement at the time of the announcement; it does not establish the worldwide count or imply that the Carrera T was the only manual 911 in 2025.
