The 2025 Koenigsegg Gemera is a 2,300-hp, four-seat megacar with a specification that changed substantially from the original 2020 concept. The production version uses a twin-turbocharged Hot-Vee V8, a single electric motor, all-wheel drive, and Koenigsegg’s nine-speed Light Speed Tourbillon Transmission.
Pricing is less straightforward. Koenigsegg has not published an official U.S. MSRP, while current third-party estimates place the Gemera at roughly $2.5 million to $3 million. Production is limited to 300 cars, and those cars were reportedly accounted for by March 2026.

2025 Koenigsegg Gemera price

That figure belongs to earlier projections for the original Gemera concept and should not be treated as a confirmed price for the current production-specification car. A secondary-market asking price could be considerably higher, particularly because only 300 examples are planned and the allocation was reportedly filled.

What the “2025” model year means
The Gemera was first revealed as a concept in 2020, but the production-specification version appeared in July 2023. The original delivery plan targeted 2025; production was subsequently delayed, with production beginning in 2026. Therefore, “2025 Koenigsegg Gemera” is best understood as a model-year or shopping-reference label, not proof that customer cars were delivered during calendar year 2025.
The production car is also not mechanically identical to the first concept. Early Gemera material described a 2.0-liter, three-cylinder engine paired with three electric motors and a total output of 1,677 hp. The current production specification replaces that arrangement with a 5.0-liter V8 and one Dark Matter electric motor.

Engine and hybrid system
The Gemera’s main power source is a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 mounted in a Hot-Vee configuration. Koenigsegg rates it at 1,500 hp and 1,500 Nm of torque. Its 8,500-rpm redline gives the engine a very different character from the three-cylinder powertrain shown in early Gemera announcements.
The V8 works with Koenigsegg’s 800-hp Dark Matter electric motor. The motor can produce up to 1,250 Nm and contributes to a system total of 2,300 hp and 2,750 Nm. Those figures are not obtained by simply adding every peak value at every operating point; they are Koenigsegg’s stated combined system outputs.
Energy comes from an 850-volt, 14-kWh battery pack. The battery is relatively small compared with that of a conventional long-range electric vehicle because the Gemera is built around power assistance, torque delivery, and high-performance hybrid operation rather than maximum electric range.
Transmission and traction
The Light Speed Tourbillon Transmission, or LSTT, is a nine-speed multi-clutch gearbox. It sends power through a four-wheel-drive system with four-wheel torque vectoring. This combination allows the car to distribute torque across the axles and individual wheels instead of relying solely on a conventional open-differential layout.
Body, doors, and dimensions
The Gemera uses a carbon-fiber monocoque with an integrated safety cell and crumple zones. It is a two-door coupe with four seats, not a conventional four-door sedan. The lack of a B-pillar and the large automated openings provide access to the front and rear seating areas.

It is a useful feature on a low, wide car: the owner can open the relevant panels without manually working around a conventional hinge or door handle. Carbon-fiber bodywork and fourth-generation Aircore carbon wheels help maintain the car’s exotic construction, although aluminum wheels are also available.

Interior and practicality
The Gemera’s unusual selling point is that it combines extreme performance with genuine four-person accommodation. All four occupants get equally sized, heated, electrically adjustable bucket seats. Interior finishes include leather or Alcantara, with customized contrast stitching.
Koenigsegg quotes 200 liters of luggage space, enough for four full-size carry-on bags. That does not make the Gemera an SUV substitute, but it is meaningful capacity for a car with this level of performance and packaging.
Listed equipment includes:
- Apple CarPlay
- Koenigsegg OTA Cloud connectivity
- USB connections and an inductive phone charger
- High-end audio system
- Four heated cup holders and four cooled cup holders
- Roof-rack mounting points
- Isofix child-seat mounts
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Reversing camera and bird’s-eye-view parking assistance
- Automated Autoskin openings
The specification also lists adaptive cruise control, lane assist, dead-angle detection, and self-parking. These features are notable because the Gemera is not presented as a stripped-out track special; it is designed to function as a high-speed grand tourer for four people.

2025 Koenigsegg Gemera photos
Koenigsegg’s official Gemera model page contains the most useful production-car photo gallery. It includes exterior and interior views, the rear seats, luggage area, drivetrain, and Dark Matter motor. The lead imagery identifies the Gripen Atelier facility.
When comparing photos online, check the date and caption. Images from the 2020 reveal may show the earlier concept with the three-cylinder engine and three-motor hybrid system. Those photographs should not be used as visual evidence of the current Hot-Vee V8 production configuration.
How the Gemera differs from the original concept
| Detail | Original 2020 concept | Current production specification |
|---|---|---|
| Combustion engine | 2.0-liter three-cylinder | 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 |
| Electric motors | Three | One Dark Matter motor |
| Combined output | 1,677 hp | 2,300 hp |
| Production status | Initial concept announcement | Production began in 2026 after schedule changes |
This distinction is the most important fact when researching the Gemera. A specification sheet that says 1,677 hp is describing the original concept, not the production-specification HV8 Gemera covered by current Koenigsegg technical data.

Its verified headline figures are a 1,500-hp twin-turbo V8, an 800-hp Dark Matter motor, 2,300 hp combined, four-wheel drive, four seats, and 200 liters of luggage space. There is no published U.S. MSRP; the most credible reported price range is $2.5 million to $3 million, before any scarcity-driven resale premium.
