This is a buyer-use ranking, not an independent score for safety, reliability, performance, or interior quality; Infiniti notes that luxury SUV rankings vary by year, segment, and criteria.
What are the 2025 Infiniti SUV models?
Infiniti’s 2025 SUV choices are the QX80, QX60, QX50, and QX55. They cover different sizes and body styles rather than four directly comparable versions of the same vehicle. Infiniti distinguishes crossovers, which use unibody construction, from traditional SUVs, which use body-on-frame construction.
| Model | Size and format | Seats and rows | Best fit | Published powertrain facts | Evidence scope |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 QX80 | Full-size, traditional body-on-frame SUV | Up to 8; three rows | Maximum passenger capacity and full-size SUV format | 2025 brochure lists a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 rated at 450 hp and 516 lb-ft, with rear-wheel drive or All-Mode 4WD | Official Infiniti lineup and 2025 brochure |
| 2025 QX60 | Midsize luxury crossover | Up to 7; three rows | Three-row family use without the QX80’s full-size traditional-SUV format | Not stated in the cited sources | Official Infiniti lineup |
| 2025 QX50 | Compact crossover | 5; two rows | Conventional compact utility, with a sliding second row to adjust legroom or cargo priority | Infiniti lists a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo at 268 hp and 280 lb-ft for the 2018–2025 generation, paired with a CVT | Official Infiniti QX50 page; Infiniti says the model was discontinued in 2025 |
| 2025 QX55 | Compact crossover coupe | 5; two rows | Compact-crossover shopping where coupe-inspired styling is the priority | Not stated in the cited sources | Official Infiniti lineup reference; no detailed 2025 spec sheet cited here |
The QX80’s and QX50’s horsepower and torque figures describe their published engines, not an overall quality comparison. The cited sources do not provide consistent 2025 pricing, fuel economy, cargo measurements, safety results, reliability scores, or ownership costs for all four models, so those are not used to rank them.
How the ranking works
The order below reflects fit for a stated buyer need: passenger capacity and vehicle format first, then three-row crossover use, then compact-crossover utility and styling. Infiniti itself cautions that rankings depend on year, segment, and criteria. This is not a claim that one model is objectively safest, most reliable, or best-performing; comparable independent results across the four models are not established by the cited sources.

1. 2025 Infiniti QX80: best for maximum size and passenger capacity
The QX80 is the clearest pick for shoppers who want Infiniti’s full-size, traditional SUV and room for up to eight people across three rows. Its 2025 brochure lists a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 450 hp and 516 lb-ft, with rear-wheel drive or All-Mode 4WD. Those specifications establish what Infiniti publishes for the model, but do not by themselves show that it is the best value or the strongest choice for every use.
2. 2025 Infiniti QX60: best for a three-row crossover balance
The QX60 is the three-row midsize crossover for buyers who need seating for up to seven but do not specifically want the QX80’s full-size body-on-frame format. It is the practical middle ground in the lineup’s size and seating choices. The cited material does not support a broader verdict about its driving performance, running costs, or comparative quality.
3. 2025 Infiniti QX50: best compact crossover for conventional utility
The QX50 is a five-seat compact crossover, and its sliding second row can be moved to favor passenger legroom or cargo space. Infiniti lists the 2018–2025-generation 2.0-liter VC-Turbo at 268 hp and 280 lb-ft, paired with a CVT. Infiniti says the QX50 was discontinued in 2025, so shoppers looking specifically for a new 2025 example may need to check remaining inventory; it should not be mistaken for a continuing model in the current lineup.
4. 2025 Infiniti QX55: best compact choice for coupe-inspired styling
The QX55 is Infiniti’s five-seat crossover coupe, making its body style the distinguishing reason to choose it over the more conventional QX50. That makes it the fit for buyers who put coupe-inspired design ahead of the QX50’s described utility feature. The cited official lineup reference establishes its format and seating, but does not establish detailed 2025 engine, cargo, trim, or price specifications.

Which Infiniti SUV has three rows?
Both the QX80 and QX60 have three rows. Infiniti lists seating for up to eight in the QX80 and up to seven in the QX60. The QX80 is the full-size traditional SUV; the QX60 is the midsize crossover.
Is the QX60 bigger than the QX50?
They occupy different segments and serve different seating needs: the QX60 is a midsize, three-row crossover for up to seven, while the QX50 is a compact, two-row crossover for five. The available sources establish those classifications and capacities, but do not give a consistent set of exterior dimensions to quantify the size difference.

Is the QX50 discontinued?
Yes. Infiniti says the QX50 was discontinued in 2025. That does not mean every 2025 vehicle vanished from sale at once; shoppers may still encounter remaining inventory, while Infiniti’s current lineup reference should be used to distinguish active models from discontinued ones.

- Choose the QX80 if your main requirement is a full-size SUV with up to eight seats.
- Choose the QX60 if you need three rows in a midsize crossover and up to seven seats.
- Consider a QX50 if you want a compact, five-seat crossover and find an available 2025 example that suits your needs.
- Consider a QX55 if coupe-inspired crossover styling is more important to you than the QX50’s explicitly described sliding second-row utility.
For a final purchase decision, compare the specific vehicles’ price, equipment, condition, fuel economy, cargo needs, and available safety and reliability information for the model year and market you are considering. The cited sources do not provide a consistent basis for ranking those factors across all four models.
