The 2025 Street Glide Ultra adds standard passenger amenities and more than twice the listed luggage capacity of the Street Glide, while sharing its engine and headline power figures. It costs $4,750 more at the listed U.S. starting MSRPs and is longer and heavier. Choose the Ultra if you expect to use its two-up touring equipment; choose the Street Glide if you want the more compact, lighter listed configuration.
What the Street Glide Ultra adds
Harley-Davidson configures the Ultra for two-up and longer-distance touring. Its standard equipment includes a King Tour-Pak luggage carrier, passenger back pad and armrests, a two-up comfort seat, heated grips, new fairing lowers, and a clear windshield four inches taller than standard Street Glide models. Harley-Davidson describes the Tour-Pak setup as standard and says it comes with “a robust passenger back pad with armrests” on its 2025 Street Glide Ultra product page.
The passenger equipment is the central distinction: the Ultra includes these items as part of its listed configuration, rather than leaving the buyer to decide whether to add comparable touring equipment. The standard Street Glide’s product page does not list that Ultra equipment as standard.
Price, luggage, size and weight
These are manufacturer-published specifications and starting MSRPs for 2025 U.S. models; prices and equipment can differ by market or configuration. Starting MSRP excludes taxes, fees, options and any dealer pricing.

At the listed starting prices, the Ultra’s premium is $4,750. Its stated 4.9 cu ft of combined luggage capacity is more than twice the Street Glide’s 2.42 cu ft. The Ultra is also listed as 55 lb heavier and 7.1 in longer. Those differences describe the published configurations; they do not, by themselves, establish how either motorcycle will feel or handle on the road.
Engine and core specifications are shared
Both 2025 U.S. product pages list the Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine, 117 cu in displacement, 105 hp at 4,600 rpm, and 130 ft-lb of torque at 3,250 rpm. Both also list estimated fuel economy of 44 mpg, a 6-gallon fuel capacity, a 64-in wheelbase, and a 12.3-in touchscreen TFT with Skyline OS. The published power figures are the same, so the Ultra’s higher starting price corresponds to its touring equipment and configuration, not greater listed engine output.

Multiplying the shared 44-mpg estimate by the 6-gallon tank gives a simple arithmetic figure of 264 miles. That is not a Harley-Davidson guaranteed range: actual distance between fill-ups varies with riding conditions.
Which model fits your riding?
Choose the Street Glide Ultra if you will use its touring equipment
- You regularly ride with a passenger and value the standard back pad, armrests and two-up comfort seat.
- You expect to carry enough luggage to benefit from the stated 4.9 cu ft capacity.
- Heated grips, fairing lowers and a windshield four inches taller than standard Street Glide models are useful to your setup.
Choose the Street Glide if a lighter, more compact configuration matters more
- You do not need the Ultra’s standard passenger amenities or additional luggage capacity.
- You prefer the model with the lower listed running weight and shorter length.
- You would rather avoid paying the Ultra’s $4,750 starting-MSRP premium for equipment you may not use.

Before making a purchase, confirm the current local quote, model availability, color, market-specific equipment and accessory compatibility with a dealer. Harley-Davidson’s Ultra specifications also state that rider and passenger headsets are sold separately, so check what is included if headset connectivity matters to your purchase.
