Which 2025 Maverick trims are hybrids?
For the U.S. 2025 model year, Ford made the 2.5-liter hybrid standard on XL, XLT and Lariat. Hybrid AWD was new for 2025 and available on those same three trims. The Lobo and Tremor are different variants positioned with EcoBoost powertrains, not hybrid options.
Ford’s order guide lists a power-split electric continuously variable transmission and a 191-horsepower hybrid rating. Ford’s technical-specification search result describes a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder paired with an electric traction motor; the technical PDF redirected when opened, so treat that specific description as qualified. These specifications concern the U.S. model and should not be assumed to apply to Mavericks sold in other markets.
What fuel economy does the 2025 Maverick Hybrid get?

These are Ford’s published order-guide figures, not independent test results or a guarantee of real-world consumption. Driving style, weather, traffic, load and other conditions affect fuel use. AWD’s listed combined rating is one mpg lower than FWD’s; the city, highway and combined figures are distinct measures and should be compared like for like.
How much did the 2025 Maverick Hybrid cost at launch?
Ford’s July 31, 2024 launch announcement gave the standard hybrid FWD model a starting MSRP of $26,295, plus $1,595 for destination and delivery. Ford said ordering would begin August 1, 2024, with deliveries expected in late 2024. Those are launch-era statements, not a current 2026 price, a transaction quote, a used-vehicle valuation or confirmation that a particular truck is available.

How much can a 2025 Maverick Hybrid tow?
Ford described 2,000 pounds as standard towing capacity and up to 4,000 pounds with the available 4K Tow Package when properly equipped. Its launch announcement specifically identified the package as an option for hybrid AWD buyers. Do not assume every hybrid can tow 4,000 pounds: confirm package availability for the exact trim and drivetrain, and check the individual truck’s payload label.
The order guide lists these 4K Tow Package contents: a Class III 2-inch receiver, 4-pin and 7-pin connectors, trailer brake controller, transmission oil cooler, upgraded cooling fan and conventional spare. The higher-capacity radiator listed with the package applies to 2.0-liter EcoBoost models only.

What bed and technology features does it offer?
Bed and cargo utility
Ford describes the FLEXBED storage arrangement, a multi-position tailgate and a 110V/400W bed outlet. A bed extender is listed as available through Ford Accessories for additional cargo security. Check model year and configuration before buying an accessory; the launch information does not establish fitment for any particular third-party listing.
Infotainment and driver assistance
Ford announced a 13.2-inch touchscreen, SYNC 4, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for the refresh. The launch announcement also described a 360-degree camera as new for 2025. Pro Trailer Hitch Assist and Pro Trailer Backup Assist were announced as available in early 2025 and standard on Lariat and Tremor. Ford listed Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane-Keeping Aid, a rear-view camera and automatic LED high beams among standard safety equipment. Equipment can depend on trim or package, so verify the specific truck against the order guide rather than assuming every feature is fitted to every vehicle.

Is the 2025 Maverick Hybrid affected by a recall?
NHTSA Part 573 Safety Recall Report 25V863, submitted December 12, 2025, identifies 80,468 potentially involved 2025–2026 Maverick hybrid vehicles within the listed production population. That figure does not mean every 2025 hybrid is affected. The report says the transmission may fail to lock into Park in some instances. If the electronic parking brake does not apply or is manually turned off, the vehicle could roll away. Possible warnings include Park not illuminated, a wrench light and a shift-system fault message.
Ford’s reported remedy is an SOBDMC software update, planned over the air or at a Ford or Lincoln dealer at no charge. The report lists January 26, 2026 as the planned date for VINs to become searchable and phases remedy notifications from February 19 through May 12, 2026. Because applicability and repair status are vehicle-specific and can change, check the VIN through NHTSA or Ford/dealer channels before buying or continuing to rely on the vehicle. Do not assume a vehicle is affected—or that its remedy is complete—based only on its model year.

How should you compare hybrid FWD and AWD?
Use the published figures and the actual vehicle’s equipment, rather than treating AWD as a simple upgrade with no trade-off:
- Drivetrain: FWD is the standard hybrid configuration; AWD is available on XL, XLT and Lariat.
- Fuel economy: Ford lists 42/35/38 mpg city/highway/combined for FWD and 40/34/37 mpg for AWD.
- Towing: Compare the exact package and configuration. The 4,000-pound maximum requires the available 4K Tow Package and proper equipment.
- Price: Compare offers from the same market and date. Ford’s launch MSRP is historical, not a current quote.
For a truck intended to tow near its maximum, check the installed package and payload label on that truck rather than relying on a powertrain name or a general model description.
