The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 brings a genuinely extreme power figure to the road-car conversation: its twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter LT7 V8 is rated at 1,064 hp and 828 lb-ft of torque. Chevrolet also reports a 2.3-second 0–60 mph time with the available ZTK Performance Package and a 233 mph top speed on a track. Those are manufacturer claims tied to specific conditions—not results to assume on public roads.
What makes the ZR1 a 1,064-hp car?
Chevrolet’s LT7 is a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8. The automaker rates it at 1,064 hp at 7,000 rpm and 828 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm, with both ratings stated under SAE guidelines. These are the engine’s published peak outputs, not a promise that either figure is available at every engine speed. Chevrolet’s July 2024 ZR1 announcement introduced the powertrain and its ratings.
How fast is the 2025 Corvette ZR1?
0–60 mph: 2.3 seconds with ZTK
Chevrolet reports a 0–60 mph time of 2.3 seconds for the ZR1 equipped with the available ZTK Performance Package. The condition matters: this is not a stated time for every ZR1 configuration. Chevrolet published the acceleration claim in its July 2024 announcement and addressed the 0–60 result in a December 2024 performance announcement.
Top speed: 233 mph on a track
Chevrolet later stated a 233 mph top speed on a track. Keep the setting attached to the number: it is a manufacturer-reported track claim, not a public-road speed or an independently reported test result. Chevrolet’s July 2024 debut release had described an estimated speed above 215 mph; later announcements supply the 233 mph figure. The later claim appears in Chevrolet’s January 2025 pricing announcement.

What does the ZTK Performance Package add?
Chevrolet’s equipment listing for a ZTK-equipped ZR1 names carbon-fiber wheels, Michelin Cup 2R summer-only tires and carbon-ceramic brakes. The package therefore pairs its acceleration claim with specialized hardware; the cited equipment list does not establish exact tire replacement sizes or part numbers. Chevrolet’s July 2025 announcement identifies these ZTK items.
The Cup 2R tires are summer-only, so they should not be treated as an all-weather choice. Before buying replacements, check the tire specification for the particular vehicle rather than relying on the model name alone; the cited listing does not provide exact fitment details.

Where is the 2025 ZR1 built?
Chevrolet announced that 2025 ZR1 production would take place at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant in Kentucky. General Motors reported the first cars being built there in June 2025, confirming the production start at the plant. Chevrolet’s July 2024 announcement named the plant, and GM’s June 2, 2025 production report covered the first builds.

Chevrolet announced a $174,995 starting price in January 2025. In June 2025, General Motors reported an MSRP of $175,195 including a $1,895 destination freight charge. These are statements from different dates and with different price framing; they should not be read as one unchanged figure. Chevrolet’s January announcement gives the starting price, while GM’s June production report specifies the MSRP with destination included.
