Cadillac estimates 0–60 mph in 4.4 seconds; the trade-offs are premium-fuel requirements, immense dimensions and no EPA-estimated fuel-economy figure listed yet for the V. The standard-wheelbase model prioritizes maneuverability within this class, while the longer ESV offers substantially more cargo space behind the third row.
How fast is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade-V?
Cadillac rates the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 at 682 hp at 6,500 rpm and 653 lb-ft of torque at 3,600 rpm. A 2.3-liter positive-displacement supercharger and water-to-air charge cooling help distinguish it from the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 in other Escalades. Power goes through a Hydra-Matic 10-speed automatic to full-time all-wheel drive. Cadillac recommends premium fuel. Cadillac’s 2025 specifications list the powertrain figures; its current V-Series page estimates 0–60 mph in 4.4 seconds.
That 4.4-second figure is a manufacturer estimate, not an instrumented result for every vehicle or driving condition. For historical independent context, Car and Driver recorded 4.3 seconds to 60 mph and a 12.7-second quarter-mile at 111 mph in an Escalade-V it tested. Those are results from its earlier test, not a 2025-model-year measurement. Car and Driver’s Escalade coverage includes those figures.
Reviewers describe the contrast between acceleration and size as a defining feature. Cars.com called the 2025 V astonishingly quick for its size and repeated Cadillac’s 4.4-second estimate. The Drive characterized its reviewed 2025 vehicle as quick and, compared with an earlier example its reviewer had driven, quieter at highway speed. Those are attributed review impressions, not universal or quantified findings. Cars.com’s review and The Drive’s review provide their respective assessments.

What does the Escalade-V cost?
Price depends on model, equipment, destination and dealer. Cadillac’s July 2024 release quoted $89,590 as the starting price for the Escalade lineup’s base trim; that is not the Escalade-V’s starting price. Cars.com’s reviewed 2025 V had a $165,320 sticker, which describes that particular configuration rather than a universal MSRP or transaction price. For a purchase decision, confirm the current Escalade-V MSRP, destination charge and configured vehicle price with a Cadillac dealer.
Escalade-V or Escalade-V ESV: what changes?
The ESV stretches the wheelbase by 13.2 inches and overall length by 15 inches. Its key practical advantage is cargo space behind the third row; its larger turning diameter and footprint are the corresponding maneuvering considerations. The figures below are Cadillac’s North American specifications for the 2025 V models. Towing and payload limits depend on the specific vehicle and loading.

Cadillac says passenger, cargo and option weight can reduce allowable towing capacity. Consult the owner’s manual and the door-jamb label on the specific vehicle rather than assuming the maximum rating applies to every configuration. The published cargo figures describe space, not the vehicle’s allowable carrying weight.
What fuel economy does it get?
Cadillac’s 2025 V-Series specification table says EPA-estimated fuel economy was “Not yet available.” It lists premium fuel as recommended. Do not substitute the EPA figures for a standard Escalade with a different engine and drivetrain, or treat an unverified owner report as a measured average. The V’s large-displacement, supercharged powertrain makes fuel use an important ownership consideration, but the available official table does not establish a 2025 EPA MPG rating.

What is inside the 2025 Escalade-V?
Cadillac describes a 55-inch total-diagonal curved display in the 2025 Escalade. The company lists AKG Studio 19-speaker audio as standard, AKG Studio Reference 36-speaker audio as available, and up to 40 speakers with the available Executive Second Row package. These configurations are not interchangeable: check the build sheet for the exact vehicle and market.
Super Cruise is listed as standard across the Escalade range with a three-year OnStar Super Cruise plan. Night Vision is standard on V-Series and Platinum trims. Cadillac also describes available 5G Wi-Fi and passenger entertainment options, including HD streaming and browser compatibility; availability and service terms depend on equipment and connected-service eligibility. In its July 2024 release, Cadillac Escalade chief engineer Martin Hayes called the 2025 Escalade “the best technology of what Cadillac has to offer.” That is the manufacturer’s characterization, not an independent assessment. Cadillac’s release details the equipment and quote.

Is the Escalade-V worth it?
The V makes the strongest case for a buyer who specifically wants supercar-like acceleration in a full-size, three-row luxury SUV and is comfortable with its premium-fuel recommendation and large footprint. The ESV is the more useful body style when third-row cargo room is a priority and parking space can accommodate its extra length. A non-V Escalade is the more relevant alternative for someone who values the Escalade’s size and luxury positioning but does not need the V’s supercharged output; the available evidence here does not establish a quantified ownership-cost or fuel-economy comparison between them.
Neither the cited manufacturer specifications nor the named reviews establish long-term reliability, repair costs or owner satisfaction for the 2025 Escalade-V. Those questions cannot be answered from acceleration figures and short-term reviews alone.
