Those leaked figures were not consumer sticker prices. BYD’s later official China listing gives the 2025 model a price range of ¥135,800–¥175,800. The reported power change is also specific: the drive motor gained 15 kW, while the 1.5L engine lost 7 kW.
What did the 2025 Song PLUS DM-i price leak say?
On July 20, 2024, IT之家 reported four leaked prices for the China-market 2025 Song PLUS DM-i: ¥150,000, ¥160,000, ¥170,000 and ¥180,000. The report described these as dealer procurement prices—the amounts dealers paid the manufacturer—not retail prices for buyers. It also said final announced prices were still to be reconciled. The report compared those figures with the then-current Song PLUS DM-i Glory Edition’s China guide prices of ¥129,800, ¥139,800, ¥149,800 and ¥159,800. That comparison is the basis for the leak’s “price increase” framing; it does not establish that the new model’s eventual retail sticker prices would be those leaked procurement amounts.
What is the official China-market price?
BYD’s China product page now lists the 2025款宋PLUS DM-i at ¥135,800–¥175,800. This is the later official listed range, not the leaked dealer-procurement range. BYD’s China product listing

CarNewsChina Data lists five 2025 trim price points—¥135,800, ¥145,800, ¥155,800, ¥165,800 and ¥175,800—whereas the July leak report described four trims. The two lineups should not be treated as matching lists. CarNewsChina Data
How did the powertrain change?
IT之家 reported a 1.5L engine rated at 74 kW and a drive motor rated at 160 kW for the updated model. In its comparison with the preceding version, the report said the motor increased by 15 kW and the engine decreased by 7 kW. The clearest description is therefore a more powerful traction motor, not an across-the-board increase in every powertrain component. These component ratings should not be added together as a system-output figure.

What battery and electric-range figures were reported?
IT之家 listed 18.3 kWh and 26.6 kWh LFP Blade battery variants, with WLTC electric-range ratings of 91 km and 128 km, respectively. It also reported fuel-consumption ratings of 4.95 and 4.98 L/100 km. These are published vehicle and test-cycle figures, not independent real-world test results.

What buyers outside China should take from the figures
All cited prices are for the China market and are denominated in yuan. The official China range does not establish pricing, taxes, equipment, order availability or import status in another country. Buyers elsewhere should confirm local availability and the applicable price and specification with BYD’s channel for their market.
