BRABUS quotes 735 kW / 1,000 hp of combined system output, 0–100 km/h in 2.6 seconds and a 317 km/h electronically limited top speed. Its substantially reworked powertrain pairs a 4.5-liter twin-turbo V8 with a rear electric drive.
What is the BRABUS ROCKET GTS?
It is BRABUS’s conversion of the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S E PERFORMANCE into a carbon-fiber shooting-brake body style, with bespoke powertrain and interior work. BRABUS markets the result as a “Hyper Gran Turismo Shooting Brake”; that is the company’s positioning, rather than a separate Mercedes model designation. The GTS should also not be confused with other BRABUS Rocket 1000 models based on the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE.
BRABUS says the car is produced in limited numbers and built to individual specifications. Its rear body is 198.5 cm wide, and listed wheel fitment is 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear, with 275/35 ZR 21 front and 335/25 ZR 22 rear tires.

These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. BRABUS describes performance values as approximate and notes that individual-vehicle factors can cause deviations. The stated 1,000 hp is the metric-horsepower figure used by BRABUS, equivalent to 986 bhp; it should not be read as 1,000 mechanical horsepower.

How the hybrid powertrain differs from the Mercedes donor
The GTS retains the donor car’s plug-in-hybrid concept but replaces its original V8 with BRABUS’s 4.5-liter twin-turbo V8. BRABUS rates that engine at 585 kW / 796 hp and 1,250 Nm, with the car limiting engine torque to 1,050 Nm. A rear electric drive contributes a further 150 kW / 204 hp and draws energy from a 6.1 kWh lithium-ion battery. The engine sends power through a nine-speed sports transmission, while BRABUS specifies a two-speed gearbox for the electric unit.
The combined system rating is 735 kW / 1,000 hp. BRABUS lists 1,820 Nm as combined peak torque but says the vehicle electronically limits it to 1,620 Nm to protect drivetrain components. Those are different figures: the first is the stated combined peak, the second the in-car limit.

The Mercedes figures and German price are dated donor-car context, not a current quotation and not the price of the BRABUS conversion. The bodywork and individualized build are central differences beyond the power increase; the available specifications do not establish a conversion premium.
Fuel consumption and emissions
BRABUS publishes weighted combined WLTP consumption of 12.1 kWh/100 km plus 10.2 l/100 km, with CO₂ emissions of 237 g/km. With the battery discharged, its figures are 11.7 l/100 km and 265 g/km CO₂. These are manufacturer-published homologation figures; the weighted result and discharged-battery result describe different operating conditions and should not be treated as interchangeable real-world consumption estimates.

BRABUS provides an inquiry route for prospective buyers, but an inquiry is not confirmation of inventory or a current offer.
