Audi’s 2025 RS e-tron GT performance is its first fully electric RS performance model and, by Audi’s measure, its most powerful series-production car to date. Its headline figures are 680 kW (925 PS) in launch-control mode in Audi’s global materials and 912 hp on Audi of America’s page. Those are manufacturer claims, not independent test results—and they cannot substitute for firsthand impressions of how the car rides, handles or works day to day.
How fast is the 2025 Audi RS e-tron GT performance?
Audi lists a launch-control 0–100 km/h (0–62.1 mph) time of 2.5 seconds and a governed top speed of 250 km/h (155.3 mph). The figures come from Audi’s technical specification page, not an independent instrumented test. Audi describes the car as producing up to 680 kW (925 PS) with launch control; Audi of America expresses its maximum launch-control output as 912 hp. These are regional unit conventions for the same model, not separate performance tests. Audi RS e-tron GT performance specifications; Audi of America electric models.
Audi also says a push-to-pass function can add 70 kW for up to ten seconds when traveling faster than 30 km/h. That is a manufacturer-described temporary boost, not the car’s continuous output. Audi’s September 2024 launch announcement.
What changed for the RS e-tron GT performance?
Audi introduced the performance derivative in September 2024 as the first fully electric RS performance model. In its description of the technical changes, Audi cites a front permanent-magnet synchronous motor, a newly developed rear motor, revised power electronics, updated battery chemistry, and increased recuperation. The launch announcement also describes a maximum charging power of 320 kW. These are Audi’s account of the engineering; they do not by themselves establish a measured improvement in efficiency or driving behavior. Audi’s launch announcement.

Suspension, tires and sound
Audi says two-chamber, two-valve air suspension is standard and wheel-selective active suspension is available as an option. It also describes performance tires and a synthetic sport sound sampled from 32 individual sources. Equipment and tire availability can vary with market and configuration. These details explain the hardware and sound design, but do not establish how comfortable, composed or convincing the car feels on the road. Audi’s launch announcement.
Audi says the goal was to widen the difference between comfort and dynamic driving. Carsten Jablonowski, lead engineer of Audi’s Driving Characteristics Development Team, described the aim as “significantly increase the spread between driving comfort and driving dynamics and make it more noticeable.” That is the development target Audi stated, not independent confirmation of the result. What is the battery capacity and range?
Audi lists a 105 kWh gross battery capacity and 97 kWh net capacity. Range figures depend on market and test cycle, so they should not be treated as directly comparable estimates of what every driver will achieve.
| Market/source | Published range | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Audi global technical page | 533–592 km (331.2–367.9 miles) | Combined figure as presented by Audi; test-cycle details should be checked for the buyer’s market. Audi technical specifications. |
| Audi of America | 278 miles | EPA-estimated with 20-inch wheels. Audi of America electric models. |
| Audi UK | 357–361 miles | Official test-range figures published by Audi UK. Audi UK range and charging. |
The EPA and UK figures use different market test systems, while the global page presents its own combined range span. They are not a head-to-head test, and none should be labeled real-world range.

How long does the RS e-tron GT take to charge?
Audi claims a 10–80% charge in 18 minutes at a high-power charging station under ideal conditions. Audi of America also states an 18-minute 10–80% DC charging time. This is a manufacturer claim, not a guarantee for every charging session: the charger’s available power, battery temperature and other conditions can affect the time. Audi’s launch announcement; Audi of America electric models.
Audi UK lists a maximum DC charging capacity of 320 kW. Peak capacity describes the highest supported charging power, not a rate maintained throughout a charging session. Audi UK range and charging.

Can it work as a daily driver?
The published figures help frame ownership, but they do not answer whether this car is comfortable or practical for a particular driver. That judgment requires firsthand experience of ride quality, body control, steering, braking transitions, tire behavior, sound, visibility and everyday usability. No such driving observations are established here, so a daily-driver verdict would go beyond the available evidence.
For charging at home, Audi UK says the car includes an AC cable for a home wallbox or public charging station, as well as industrial-socket and domestic-plug cables. Cable and connector arrangements vary by market, so owners should confirm what is supplied with their specific vehicle. Audi UK range and charging.

Audi’s September 17, 2024 announcement gave a European launch starting price of €160,500. That is a historical launch figure, not current pricing and not a US or other local-market price. Check Audi’s local configurator or dealer for current price and equipment. Audi’s launch announcement.
