The 2025 Aston Martin Vanquish pairs a front-mid-mounted twin-turbo V12 with rear-wheel drive, two seats and grand-touring ambitions. Aston Martin rates the engine at 824 bhp (835 PS) and claims 0–62 mph in 3.3 seconds and a 214 mph top speed. MotorTrend recorded a 3.3-second 0–60 mph run in its June 2025 test, but its test car was listed at $560,700—well above the publication’s $435,300 base figure. Those prices are dated publication figures, not current quotes for every market or configuration.
What the 2025 Vanquish is
The Vanquish is Aston Martin’s two-seat flagship GT coupe: a front-mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive car built around a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12. It combines that high-output engine with an eight-speed ZF automatic, an electronic differential and adaptive damping. The concept is broader than outright acceleration: Aston Martin presents the car as a long-distance grand tourer with supercar-level performance.
Aston Martin said in its 2 September 2024 launch announcement that annual production would be under 1,000 examples. That is the manufacturer’s stated production limit, not a verified count of 2025 deliveries. The company’s chairman called it a “true halo model”; that is launch positioning, not an independent road-test verdict. Aston Martin’s launch announcement
How fast is the Vanquish?
Aston Martin’s live specification page claims 0–62 mph (0–100 km/h) in 3.3 seconds and a maximum speed of 214 mph (345 km/h). The manufacturer rates the V12 at 835 PS, equivalent to 824 bhp, at 6,500 rpm, with 1,000 Nm of torque available from 2,500 to 5,000 rpm. These are manufacturer figures, not independent test results. MotorTrend’s Zach Gale measured 0–60 mph in 3.3 seconds in a first test dated 2 June 2025. That same test recorded an 11.2-second quarter-mile at 132.5 mph, braking from 60 mph in 96 feet, 1.00 g of lateral acceleration and a 23.3-second figure-eight at an average 0.94 g. These are MotorTrend’s results for its test car, not Aston Martin’s claims or a universal result for every car and condition. MotorTrend’s 2025 Vanquish first test
Car and Driver describes strong acceleration and warns that careless throttle use can provoke wheelspin. Its published 0–60 mph figure is explicitly an estimate pending its own test, so it should not be presented as an instrumented Car and Driver result. What the road tests say about the drive
Speed and balance
MotorTrend praised the Vanquish’s crisp turn-in and balanced feel, alongside its performance figures. Car and Driver characterizes it as both a comfortable cruiser and a high-performance handler, a useful description of the GT brief: a car intended to cover distance without giving up serious pace.
Size, sound and visibility at the limit
MotorTrend’s praise came with qualifications. Its reviewer found the car felt big on a winding road, described the V12 soundtrack as somewhat muted by the turbochargers and noted that the test car needed a nose-lift system. These are one reviewer’s observations, not guaranteed experiences for every driver. They also show why headline power alone does not settle whether the car suits a particular route or use.

What the Vanquish costs
MotorTrend listed a $435,300 base price and $560,700 for its test car in June 2025. The $125,400 difference is the arithmetic gap between those two published figures; it is not a standard options package price or a current dealer quote. Actual pricing depends on market, specification and date, so buyers should confirm a current configured price with an Aston Martin retailer.
The test-car figure makes configuration a substantial part of the price story. A buyer comparing the Vanquish with another GT should compare similarly equipped cars and distinguish manufacturer performance claims from results measured by a particular publication. The available reviews do not establish a same-day, same-track comparison with every rival.

Cabin, equipment and practical ownership details
Car and Driver describes a two-seat cabin with two 10.3-inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay, navigation and onboard Wi-Fi. It also notes a custom-fit luggage option. This is a focused two-person layout rather than a four-seat alternative, so anyone evaluating the car for touring should consider the luggage configuration as well as the driving experience.
Aston Martin’s 2024 accessories catalogue lists a four-piece luggage set made specifically for Vanquish, rear-environment luggage, golf and pet packs, a tailored indoor cover, and care and storage products such as a battery conditioner and tire cushions. The catalogue also describes an Aston Martin and Callaway golf collaboration. Regional availability can vary, and catalogue listings do not establish current retailer stock or program terms. Tires and fitment
Aston Martin specifies 21-inch wheels with bespoke Pirelli P Zero PZ4 summer tires: 275/35/ZR21 at the front and 325/30/ZR21 at the rear. Its specifications also list bespoke Pirelli P Zero Winter 2 tires. Before buying replacements, verify the exact vehicle, tire size, load and speed ratings, and market fitment; the tire family and dimensions alone do not confirm that a particular retail listing is approved or suitable. Quick Recap
Who the Vanquish makes sense for
- Consider it if you want a two-seat GT with a large-displacement V12, rear-wheel drive, exceptional claimed speed and a cabin oriented around two occupants.
- Look closely at a test drive if your routes include tight, winding roads or steep entrances; MotorTrend noted a sense of bulk and the absence of a nose-lift system on its test car.
- Price the exact car rather than assuming the dated base figure represents a configured example. MotorTrend’s June 2025 test-car price was substantially higher than its listed base price.
- Confirm ownership details directly with an Aston Martin retailer, including current equipment, accessories, tires and regional availability.
