Acura’s March 24, 2025 price list puts the base 2025 MDX FWD at $51,200 MSRP, up $1,050 (about 2.1%) from the 2024 model’s $50,150 MSRP on Acura’s January 3, 2024 list. The later 2025 list is the relevant published price for this comparison; Acura had announced a different, lower starting price when the 2025 MDX went on sale in May 2024.
How much does the 2025 Acura MDX cost?
Acura’s March 24, 2025 U.S. price list ranges from $51,200 for the base MDX FWD to $75,250 for the Type S Advance SH-AWD. These are manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRPs), not dealer transaction prices. The list gives a $1,350 destination charge; for example, the base FWD is $52,550 with destination.
MSRP excludes destination unless specified, as well as taxes, license, registration, premium paint and accessories. Acura says dealer prices may vary. The figures below are dated official list prices, not live quotes.

How much did prices increase from 2024?
Comparing Acura’s January 3, 2024 2024-model list with its March 24, 2025 2025-model list, the base FWD rose $1,050, from $50,150 to $51,200. That is about 2.1%, calculated from the two published MSRPs. The increase varies by configuration, and the trim lineups are not identical across the lists.

The 2024 figures come from Acura’s January 3, 2024 pricing and EPA ratings release; 2025 figures come from the March 24, 2025 release. Treat the changes as comparisons between published MSRPs, not like-for-like proof of identical equipment or availability.

Why do some 2025 prices show a different starting figure?
Acura’s May 28, 2024 launch announcement listed the 2025 MDX starting at $50,900 before destination, with the SH-AWD at $53,100 and Type S Advance at $74,950. That announcement listed the base FWD at $52,250 including its $1,350 destination charge. Acura’s later March 2025 price list instead shows $51,200 MSRP and $52,550 with destination for the base FWD. The dates matter: these are two different official price publications, and the March list is the later published figure.

What changed on the 2025 MDX?
The 2025 MDX received a substantial update alongside the price changes. The headline cabin change is a new 12.3-inch touchscreen interface with Google built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Acura also redesigned the center console to add storage and improve access to the wireless charging pad.
Exterior and cabin updates
- Revised front fascia and grille, darker lighting details and updated wheel designs.
- Technology, Advance and A-Spec models received added insulation and laminated rear-door glass. Acura says these changes are intended to reduce road noise by approximately 10%; that is the manufacturer’s claim, not an independent measurement.
Safety and audio equipment
- Acura announced enhanced standard AcuraWatch driver-assistance technology, but not every advanced capability is standard on every trim. The Type S Advance adds AcuraWatch 360.
- Bang & Olufsen sound systems are available on specified upper trims. Acura lists a 31-speaker system for the Type S Advance.

What should shoppers compare before choosing a trim?
- Drivetrain: Compare FWD and SH-AWD pricing and the configuration-specific EPA city, highway and combined ratings on Acura’s price list.
- Equipment: Weigh the standard touchscreen and wireless phone integration against the equipment on Technology, A-Spec, Advance and Type S trims, including trim-specific audio and safety features.
- Price basis: Compare MSRP with destination included, then use a dealer quote to understand the actual price; taxes, registration and other charges are separate.
- Model-year comparison: Check that the 2024 and 2025 configurations being compared have equivalent equipment and availability. The published lists do not have fully identical trim lineups.
