The McLaren GTS is a two-seat, mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive grand touring coupe with a 626-hp twin-turbo V8. It carries forward the basic architecture of the GT with revised styling and power. For U.S. shoppers, posted starting prices vary by model year and source: listings show $219,400 for 2025 and $224,900 or $229,900 for 2026, so confirm the price and equipment on a current build sheet.
What the McLaren GTS is like
The GTS is best understood as an update to the McLaren GT, not a clean-sheet replacement. Cars.com reviewer Jared Gall says it retains the GT’s carbon-fiber monocoque, most body panels, and a version of the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, while gaining revised styling and more power. Cars.com attributes the power increase to revised ignition timing.
Visual changes described by Cars.com include gloss-black trim, a revised lower front fascia, and taller rear-fender scoops. The result remains a low, two-seat exotic, but its grand-touring brief puts luggage utility and comfort alongside performance. That does not make it a conventional practical GT: it still prioritizes a mid-engine sports-car layout and has only two seats.
For 2026, Autoblog reports no major changes following the 2025 update. Its review presents the GTS as a performance-focused grand tourer with useful cargo capacity for the class; that is an editorial assessment, not an independent instrumented test result.

Fuel economy
Cars.com lists 15 mpg city and 22 mpg highway for the 2025 GTS; McLaren Philadelphia repeats 15/22 for its 2026 showroom listing. Autoblog’s 2026 specification table gives 18 mpg combined. These are published listing figures, not a promise of real-world economy; actual mileage depends on driving and configuration.

McLaren GTS pricing and trim levels
U.S.-facing sources show different starting-price figures. They do not explain whether the differences reflect updates, configuration, destination charges, or other market assumptions, so the figures should be treated as source-specific posted prices rather than one definitive current MSRP.
| Model year / listing | Posted price | Trim context |
|---|---|---|
| 2025, Cars.com page observed in 2026 | $219,400 starting MSRP | Coupe, Performance Coupe, and TechLux Coupe listed at the same displayed starting price |
| 2026, McLaren Philadelphia showroom | $224,900 starting price | Coupe, TechLux, and Performance shown at that price |
| 2026, Autoblog review published July 20, 2026 | $229,900 MSRP | Autoblog says the three trims share its displayed MSRP |
Autoblog describes TechLux as adding upscale cabin materials without an extra listed cost. Because trim packaging and pricing can change, ask a McLaren retailer for the current build sheet and a written quote. Confirm whether destination, options, and any dealer adjustments are included.

Used and certified examples
A McLaren Certified inventory result showed a 2026 GTS in Volcano Yellow with 30 miles listed at $243,900. A separate result showed a 2025 GTS at $189,990 with 5,563 miles. These are individual inventory snapshots, not market-value benchmarks; price, mileage, options, and availability can change. The certified locator also names a car cover among convenience features, but that does not establish the fit or availability of a separately sold cover.
Photos and where to view the car
Cars.com’s 2025 GTS page includes a photo and video gallery, while McLaren Philadelphia’s 2026 showroom page includes exterior photos and links to inventory. Those pages are useful for viewing the car, but confirm permissions before republishing any images.

Quick Recap
What to check before buying
- Request a current, itemized quote for the model year and trim you want; compare the exact equipment rather than relying on a headline starting figure.
- Confirm the build sheet, including options and whether destination or dealer adjustments are included.
- Ask the retailer to verify current trim names and what each package adds.
- For a used or certified example, check its mileage, specification, condition, and live availability; a single listing is not a reliable market comparison.
- Consider whether a low, two-seat coupe suits your passengers and luggage needs, even with the cargo capacity reported by Autoblog.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
