2024 Verge TS Pro: The Hubless Electric Motorcycle That Challenges Convention

The 2024 Verge TS Pro paired a hubless rear-wheel motor with a 20.2 kWh battery and a claimed range of up to 217 miles. Here’s what its performance, size and specifications mean—and what buyers should verify.

The 2024 Verge TS Pro is an electric road motorcycle built around an unusual idea: put the drive motor in the rear wheel and do away with the conventional chain final drive. In the configuration covered by 2024 road-test reporting, it paired that hubless design with a 20.2 kWh lithium-ion battery and a claimed range of up to 217 miles. Its distinctive engineering comes with serious performance claims—and substantial physical scale.

What makes the 2024 Verge TS Pro different?

Verge’s Donut Motor sits at the rear wheel, creating the bike’s conspicuously open, hubless appearance. The layout replaces a conventional chain final drive. Verge says removing the chain reduces maintenance, but that is a manufacturer claim, not a measured long-term ownership result. Verge Motorcycles

The arrangement also raises a practical engineering trade-off: the motor is part of the wheel assembly, contributing unsprung mass—the weight that moves with the wheel rather than being supported by the suspension. Ars Technica’s 2024 test noted this concern and reported that the battery alone weighed around 220 lb. Ars Technica’s 2024 TS Pro report

How much range does the Verge TS Pro have?

Ars Technica’s 2024 coverage reported a 20.2 kWh battery and a manufacturer-claimed maximum range of up to 217 miles for the reviewed TS Pro configuration. That is an advertised maximum, not a guarantee of everyday distance; riding conditions and use affect range. The cited coverage does not provide a controlled independent range test, so the figure should not be read as a verified real-world result.

NKCKCX Adjustable Motorcycle Phone Mount for Verge Motorcycles TS Pro 2023–2026, 360° Rotating Handlebar Phone Holder
  • 【PRE-PURCHASE REMINDER】This product for Verge Motorcycles TS Pro 2023–2026. Please check the size of this product before placing your order to ensure it meets your requirements, so as to avoid affecting your shopping experience due to size issues.
  • 【STAY FOCUSED WITH A MORE STABLE HOLD】A phone mount should keep your screen where you expect it—not constantly shake, shift, or require readjustment. The upgraded dual-rod base creates a more secure mounting structure, helping keep your smartphone steady while you navigate, check directions, or stay connected on the move.
  • 【ADJUST THE FIT TO YOUR PHONE】The adjustable holder gives you room to fine-tune the grip for different smartphone sizes. With an adjustable width of up to 100 mm / 3.94 in and an inner width of approximately 50 mm / 1.97 in, the design provides flexible positioning without forcing your phone into a fixed-size cradle.
  • 【CUSHIONED CONTACT FOR EVERYDAY PROTECTION】Built-in cushioning creates a softer contact point between the mount and your device. Instead of relying entirely on hard surfaces, the padded grip helps reduce direct contact and vibration while keeping your phone securely positioned during regular use.
  • 【KEEP ESSENTIAL PORTS WITHIN REACH】A smart mount should not make your phone harder to use. The open-sided design leaves important areas accessible, allowing convenient access to buttons, speakers, headphones, charging connections, and calls while the device remains mounted.

Verge’s current product information describes an updated offering with two battery configurations. Its claims apply to that current product page, not automatically to a 2024 motorcycle:

Current configuration Manufacturer-claimed range Charging claim
20.2 kWh standard battery Up to 217 miles Verge’s current FAQ distinguishes charging capability by configuration; a specific time is not stated here. Verge FAQ
33.3 kWh long-range battery Up to 370 miles Up to 186 miles added in under 10 minutes, with charging power up to 200 kW, according to Verge’s current product page. Verge TS Pro product page

These are current manufacturer claims for the updated offering. They do not establish the range or charging performance of the 2024 model. Actual charging time and range depend on conditions, and the cited figures are not independent test results.

How long does the 2024 Verge TS Pro take to charge?

The available 2024 reporting does not establish a charging time for the 2024 TS Pro. Verge’s current page says the updated 33.3 kWh version can add up to 186 miles in under 10 minutes at charging power up to 200 kW; that claim is specific to the current larger-battery configuration and should not be applied to a 2024 bike. The current FAQ distinguishes charging capability by configuration, but the cited information does not establish an equivalent time for the 20.2 kWh version.

How fast and large is the TS Pro?

Published figures cited in Ars Technica’s 2024 coverage include 1,000 Nm of rear-wheel torque and a 0–60 mph time of 3.5 seconds. Treat these as reported product or test figures, not as results from a comparable independent instrumented test or a guarantee for every trim and market. The test coverage also describes very strong acceleration and reports these dimensions for the reviewed motorcycle:

  • Wheelbase: 1,540 mm
  • Overall weight: 245 kg
  • Rear tire: 240 mm wide

Those numbers point to a physically imposing machine, not a lightweight urban commuter. Weight, wheelbase and the wide rear tire matter as much as acceleration when considering low-speed maneuvering, storage and fit. A test ride is the best way to judge whether its scale and riding position suit you.

What did the 2024 Verge TS Pro cost?

Ars Technica reported a US price of $29,900 in 2024. That is historical reported pricing for the period, not a current market value for a used example. Used prices, condition, options and local taxes can differ.

Verge’s current product page gives an estimated Q4 2026 delivery window for its current TS Pro offering in the EU and US. That is a forward-looking estimate for the updated product, not evidence of when a 2024 bike was available or what one costs today.

What should a buyer verify before purchasing?

Specifications alone cannot confirm whether a particular 2024 TS Pro is a practical or supportable purchase in your location. Before committing, check the specific motorcycle and VIN with Verge and the relevant local authority:

  • Whether that motorcycle is approved for road use in your jurisdiction.
  • Warranty coverage and remaining term, if any, for that exact VIN.
  • Local service access and the availability of compatible replacement parts.
  • The bike’s exact model year, battery configuration and charging compatibility.

For comparisons with other electric motorcycles, match model year and battery configuration, and distinguish claimed from independently measured range. Also compare charging connector and network compatibility, power, acceleration, weight, wheelbase, ergonomics and prices from the same market and date.

As a road motorcycle, the TS Pro also calls for suitable protective equipment. Choose a properly fitted full-face helmet that meets the applicable safety certification in your market; the cited sources do not identify a Verge-endorsed helmet.
