The October 2024 UK brochure also lists 421 hp (310 kW), using the brochure’s horsepower terminology for that market.
Mercedes-Benz USA gives the U.S. Coupe’s output as 416 hp at 6,750 rpm and 369 lb-ft between 5,000 and 5,250 rpm. These figures describe the same model in different source markets and unit conventions; keep the source and units attached when comparing them.
How quick is it?
Mercedes-Benz Media quotes 4.1 seconds from 0–100 km/h and a 250 km/h top speed for the international CLA 45 S specification. Mercedes-Benz USA lists 0–60 mph in 4.0 seconds for its U.S. Coupe. The acceleration figures use different speed intervals and should not be treated as directly interchangeable. They are manufacturer claims, not results from an independent test of this exact 2024 model.

The international specification pairs AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive with AMG Torque Control and an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 8G dual-clutch transmission. The manufacturer’s technical table identifies the drivetrain and transmission; it does not establish independent comparative performance against other cars.
Fuel economy and emissions
Mercedes-Benz Media lists provisional combined WLTP fuel consumption of 9.0–8.7 L/100 km and provisional combined CO₂ emissions of 205–196 g/km. These are manufacturer-published WLTP figures, not real-world consumption measurements or U.S. EPA estimates.

Specifications vary by market, and the source material does not make every figure directly comparable across regions. Mercedes-Benz Media’s technical table is an international specification source; Mercedes-Benz USA’s page is a current U.S. lineup source, not a historical 2024 price record. The UK brochure covers Coupe and Shooting Brake configurations, so its figures should not be silently generalized to every market or body style.

Car and Driver’s 2024 review also reports 416 hp and 369 lb-ft for the U.S. CLA 45 S. Its surfaced material distinguishes an earlier CLA 45 instrumented test from the 2024 S model, so that earlier test result should not be presented as a measured result for this car.
