What did the 2024 Mazda CX-30 cost?
Mazda North American Operations announced a starting U.S. MSRP of $24,995 for the 2024 CX-30. The company separately listed destination and handling at $1,420, or $1,465 in Alaska, effective April 3. The starting MSRP and destination charge are separate figures; check the applicable charges when comparing a vehicle’s advertised price with its total price. Mazda’s 2024 pricing and packaging announcement is the primary source for those figures.
Did every 2024 CX-30 come with AWD?
Yes. Mazda said every 2024 CX-30 model included i-Activ AWD, rather than making AWD an extra-cost option on a particular trim. Mazda described the system as monitoring weight distribution and shifting power between the wheels; that is the manufacturer’s characterization, not an independent performance test. Mazda’s announcement contains the configuration details.
How did its price compare with other 2024 AWD SUVs?
Two relevant U.S. comparisons show why “cheapest” needs qualification. Kia’s official 2024 Seltos pricing page lists the LX IVT AWD at $24,490 and says prices are F.O.B. Subaru announced a $24,995 starting price for the 2024 Crosstrek, with Symmetrical AWD standard. Mazda’s announced CX-30 starting MSRP therefore matched the Crosstrek’s published starting price, while Kia’s listed Seltos figure was lower.

Compare the same price basis and confirm which charges apply before deciding which one costs less to buy.
Was the CX-30 the cheapest AWD SUV on sale?
The available manufacturer figures do not support that unqualified claim. The Seltos LX IVT AWD had a lower published figure, and the Crosstrek matched the CX-30’s starting price while also including AWD as standard. This is a comparison of three named 2024 models, not a complete survey of every SUV, trim, fee, or market offer.

It is also a historical model-year comparison. The cited announcements establish launch pricing and AWD configuration, but not whether new 2024 vehicles remain in dealer inventory, what buyers paid after negotiation, which incentives applied, or which new AWD SUV is cheapest in October 2026. For a purchase decision, verify local availability and compare written out-the-door quotes on the same basis, including destination, dealer-installed options, taxes, fees, and incentives.
