Technology Package and wheels

The five-spoke, noise-reduction 18-inch wheel in Vapor Chrome is available on Luxury and standard on Ultra Luxury; F SPORT versions use 19-inch split five-spoke wheels with a Gloss Black finish. Confirm a specific car’s build sheet because equipment varies by grade and options.

ES 350: V6 power
The ES 350 pairs a 3.5-liter V6 using D-4S fuel injection and VVT-iW with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Lexus lists 302 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. Its estimated 26 mpg combined is the lowest of the three listed configurations, while its 32 mpg highway estimate is higher than its city figure.
ES 250 AWD: the all-wheel-drive choice
The ES 250 is the AWD configuration named in Lexus’s model-year materials. Lexus describes its Dynamic Torque Control system as able to direct up to 50 percent of engine torque to the rear wheels in response to acceleration from a start or front-wheel slip. When AWD is unnecessary, the system can disengage the rear propeller shaft. This is the manufacturer’s description of system operation, not a guarantee of traction on a particular road or surface.

ES 300h: hybrid efficiency
The ES 300h combines a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle engine, electric motor and hybrid transaxle for 215 total system horsepower. Lexus reports EPA estimates of 43 mpg city, 44 highway and 44 combined. Its lithium-ion battery is located under the rear seat. The combined estimate is 18 mpg higher than the ES 350’s and 16 mpg higher than the ES 250 AWD’s, based on the figures Lexus publishes.
Does the 2024 Lexus ES come in AWD?
Yes. The ES 250 AWD is the all-wheel-drive version identified in Lexus’s 2024 U.S. materials. The ES 350 and ES 300h are listed in the cited materials without AWD. If AWD is a requirement, verify the vehicle’s exact configuration rather than relying on a trim name or listing shorthand.

Which F SPORT versions are available?
F SPORT Design is offered with all three powertrains. F SPORT Handling is available with the ES 350 and ES 300h, not the ES 250 AWD in Lexus’s described lineup. Lexus says F SPORT Handling adds an F SPORT-tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension and Sport+ and Custom drive modes, along with other trim-specific equipment. What safety features come standard?
Lexus says Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 is standard on the 2024 ES. The manufacturer lists these driver-assistance features:
- Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
- All-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
- Lane Tracing Assist
- Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
- Road Sign Assist
Lexus describes the Pre-Collision System as designed to provide automatic emergency braking at approximately 7–110 mph under specified conditions. That operating range is the manufacturer’s description, not a guarantee that braking will occur in every situation. These aids have limits and do not make the ES self-driving; consult the owner’s manual for the vehicle’s operating conditions. The cited Lexus materials do not establish an independent safety rating.
