Jeep claims the Rubicon 392 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and cover the quarter mile in 13.0 seconds. These are Jeep’s claims, not results from an independent instrumented test. The cited material does not establish real-world acceleration, braking or trail-test performance.
What hardware connects the V8 to off-road capability?
For 2024, Jeep made the Xtreme 35 package standard on the Rubicon 392 and specified a 4.56 axle ratio plus a Selec-Trac full-time transfer case. The case’s 4LO ratio is 2.72:1. Together, those specifications show that the 392 is configured for low-range trail driving as well as fast acceleration; they do not guarantee a particular outcome on a given route. Jeep’s 2024 Wrangler introduction identifies this 392-specific equipment.

A crawl ratio describes the gearing multiplication through the drivetrain; it is not, by itself, a measure of traction or proof the vehicle will negotiate every obstacle. What is the Rubicon 392’s water-fording depth?
Jeep’s 2024 Canada-market specifications list 34 inches of water fording for the Rubicon 392 in the corresponding LT315/70R17 tire-size column. The same 392 column lists 11.1 inches of ground clearance. These are published Canadian specifications, not universal figures for every market or special edition. Clearance and approach, breakover and departure angles help describe vehicle geometry. They cannot establish whether a specific obstacle is passable: terrain, approach, vehicle loading and conditions all matter.
What is different about the 392 Final Edition?
The Final Edition is a distinct package, not the baseline equipment list for every Rubicon 392. Jeep’s announcement adds recovery and protection equipment and cites its own capability figures:

The 34.5-inch Final Edition figure and the 34-inch Canada-market baseline figure come from different published specifications and scopes. They should not be collapsed into a single universal number. Jeep’s Final Edition announcement is the source for the edition-specific additions.

A published water-fording depth is not a recommended crossing depth or a guarantee of safety. The 2024 Wrangler owner’s manual says to assess water depth, approach angle, current and bottom condition. It warns that fast-moving water can push a vehicle out of control and says not to drive through fast-moving deep water. Even in a slow current, vehicle damage or injury remains possible when water is deeper than the vehicle’s running ground clearance. Consult the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Owner’s Manual for operating guidance; a rating cannot account for changing depth, a soft bottom, hidden obstacles or dangerous current.
