Check the actual seat layout and fit
Cars.com lists eight seats when the optional second-row bench is fitted. Many examples instead have second-row captain’s chairs, reducing seating capacity. Strong acceleration, but the size is always part of the experience
Edmunds recorded 5.3 seconds from zero to 60 mph in its test of the 2024 Grand Wagoneer L. That is a published test result, not a guarantee for every vehicle or condition. Its 510-hp engine gives the big SUV brisk response, while Car and Driver also characterizes it as powerful.
The length and bulk remain relevant in daily use. Car and Driver notes that maneuvering the vehicle in tight spaces is difficult. Consider garage clearance, parking spaces, narrow streets and the routes used for school or sports trips; a test drive on familiar roads and in a representative parking area can reveal more than a quick highway loop.

Ride and controls are not luxury-class strengths for every driver
Edmunds found body motion over larger and uneven bumps and criticized touch-sensitive controls that can demand visual attention. Those trade-offs matter when a vehicle is carrying children on broken pavement or when a driver wants to adjust a function without looking away from the road. Car and Driver lists 14 mpg city, 20 mpg highway and 17 mpg combined for the Grand Wagoneer. Its Grand Wagoneer L matched the combined estimate in a 75-mph highway test. Cars.com also lists 17 mpg combined for a Grand Wagoneer L configuration. Those are published figures, not a prediction of an individual owner’s consumption; city traffic, load, speed and driving conditions affect actual use. The official buyer guide’s 16/22/19 mpg estimate applies to the Wagoneer L 4×4, not the Grand Wagoneer L, and should not be substituted for this model’s figures.
