Both use the same 745cc V-twin drivetrain; the key trim differences are ABS, listed curb weight and price. Honda’s official specifications answer those questions, but they do not establish whether the bike is a good fit for a particular beginner or rider.
2024 Honda Shadow Phantom specifications
These are Honda-published U.S. specifications for the 2024 Shadow Phantom, not independent measurements. Honda notes that specification figures are preliminary and subject to change.

Shadow Phantom vs. Phantom ABS
Honda offers the 2024 Phantom in two trims. The ABS version adds anti-lock braking; Honda does not list ABS for the standard trim. Both share the listed engine, transmission and shaft final drive.

Honda’s model page also displays a $600 destination charge and a total MSRP of $8,999 for the standard model. These are Honda-listed U.S. figures, not a quote for a specific buyer: dealer pricing, taxes and location-specific charges may differ. Is the 2024 Honda Shadow Phantom a good beginner bike?
The published specifications alone cannot settle that question. Honda lists a 25.6-inch seat height, but seat height does not establish whether a motorcycle will feel manageable to a particular rider. The reviewed Honda material does not evaluate beginner suitability or how the bike handles in real-world conditions. Consider your experience, fit, ability to manage the motorcycle at a stop and during low-speed maneuvers, and comfort with its controls; arrange a supervised sit or test ride through a dealer where available.

Can you carry a passenger?
Honda describes the stock Phantom with a solo seat. Its features information points riders who want to carry a passenger to an accessory passenger seat and footpegs. The reviewed material does not establish part numbers or exact fitment by year and trim, so confirm compatibility with Honda or a dealer before buying. Honda’s 2024 Shadow Phantom features page identifies the accessory category.
