What is the 2024 Heritage Classic 114?
The Heritage Classic is a Harley-Davidson cruiser configured for touring as well as everyday riding. Its model code is FLHCS. The detachable windscreen and lockable, sealed saddlebags provide practical touring equipment, while the rear suspension is concealed to retain a hardtail-inspired appearance.
Engine, power and fuel economy
The motorcycle uses Harley-Davidson’s Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine, with 114 cubic inches of displacement (about 1,868 cc) and a 10.5:1 compression ratio. Harley-Davidson lists 119 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm using the J1349 method, and 94 hp (70 kW) at 4,750 rpm. These are manufacturer specifications, not results from an independent test.
Fuel delivery is Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI). The tank holds 5 gallons, and Harley-Davidson estimates fuel economy at 47 mpg. The 47-mpg figure is the manufacturer’s estimate, not a measured real-world result.

Touring equipment, suspension and brakes
Windscreen and luggage
The windscreen detaches, allowing the rider to switch between a touring setup and a more open cruiser look. Lockable, sealed saddlebags are listed as standard features.
Suspension and braking
Up front is a 49 mm telescopic fork. At the rear, a hidden coil-over monoshock has hydraulic preload adjustment. Harley-Davidson describes the adjustable rear suspension as supporting cornering while preserving the motorcycle’s hardtail look. ABS is included; the listed brake hardware consists of a four-piston fixed front caliper and a two-piston floating rear caliper.

Dimensions and seat height
The 2024 model measures 95.1 inches long, with a 64.2-inch wheelbase and 4.7 inches of ground clearance. Its 26.3-inch seat height is a laden measurement: Harley-Davidson’s owner’s manual specifies the rider seated on the motorcycle at 180 lb (81.6 kg). It should not be read as an unladen seat-height figure.
