It is a large, comfort-first luxury sedan, not the sharpest handler in its class. U.S. buyers can choose between the 375-hp 3.5T and the more powerful 409-hp 3.5T e-Supercharger; both come with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic. The e-Supercharger adds performance-focused hardware but gives up some trunk space and a little estimated fuel economy.
What kind of luxury sedan is the 2024 G90?
At 207.7 inches long, with a 125.2-inch wheelbase, the G90 is a true full-size sedan. Its proportions and equipment prioritize a smooth, quiet journey, particularly for passengers, rather than the most engaging cornering in the segment. Car and Driver describes the ride and power delivery as smooth and the cabin as quiet and opulent; its review considers the handling respectable for a car this large, but less incisive than leading European rivals.
That distinction matters when comparing it with other flagship sedans. The G90 is most compelling if isolation, rear-seat comfort and substantial standard equipment rank above sporty responses. Consider handling, phone connectivity and luggage capacity alongside comfort when deciding whether it fits your needs.
How do the 3.5T and e-Supercharger differ?
Both U.S.-market 2024 G90 models use a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. The e-Supercharger adds an electric supercharger and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system; it is not a plug-in hybrid.

Fuel economy figures are Genesis Motor America’s 2024 EPA estimates using premium fuel, provided for comparison; they are not a guarantee of real-world results. Car and Driver recorded 29 mpg on its 75-mph highway route in an e-Supercharger test vehicle, a publication test result rather than an EPA rating. Its instrumented-test block identifies that vehicle as a 2023 model, so the figure should not be treated as a 2024 EPA result.
Car and Driver measured 0–60 mph in 5.1 seconds with its instrumented e-Supercharger test vehicle, also identified on the review page as a 2023 model. The publication reviewer praised that car’s air springs for a “superb ride and effortless acceleration.” These are Car and Driver observations and test results, not independent testing for this review.

What is the cabin like?
Passenger comfort is the G90’s defining strength. Genesis lists 109.2 cubic feet of passenger volume and front/rear legroom of 42.3 and 37.8 inches. Car and Driver reports standard Nappa leather, heated and ventilated massaging front seats, power sunshades, active noise cancellation and premium audio. It also describes a fragrance diffuser and air-cleaning system. The e-Supercharger adds reclining rear seats with ventilation and massage, according to the publication.
Genesis lists a 12.3-inch navigation screen, wireless charging, Genesis Digital Key and fingerprint authentication. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, but Car and Driver notes that both require a cable. Wireless phone charging is a separate feature and does not mean wireless phone projection is available. The e-Supercharger receives an upgraded Bang & Olufsen 3D premium audio system.

How much luggage fits, and what tires does each trim use?
The 3.5T has 12.0 cubic feet of trunk space; the e-Supercharger has 10.6 cubic feet. That difference is worth considering if the car will regularly carry luggage for several passengers. Genesis lists staggered front and rear tire sizes for both models:
- 3.5T: 245/45R20 front and 275/40R20 rear.
- 3.5T e-Supercharger: 245/40R21 front and 275/35R21 rear.
Before buying replacements, confirm the sizes on the individual car’s tire placard or by VIN, then verify fitment with the seller. A review’s listed tire brand or model does not establish compatibility for every vehicle.

Does every 2024 G90 have an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award?
No. IIHS lists the 2024–25 Genesis G90 as a Top Safety Pick+ only for vehicles built after October 2023. Genesis said it changed the rear seat belts after that production point to improve rear-occupant protection; cars built before the change retained the lower Top Safety Pick designation. For a used 2024 G90, check its build date rather than assuming the plus award applies to every car.
Genesis’s May 3, 2024 announcement also lists 10 standard airbags and driver-assistance features including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist. The award’s production-date condition is set out in the IIHS 2024 award listing; Genesis explains the belt change in its May 3, 2024 announcement.

What should used-car buyers check?
Genesis lists a 5-year/60,000-mile new-vehicle limited warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty. The powertrain term is available only to the original retail owner. The 2024 specification sheet also advertises three years/36,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance and service valet, subject to its terms. Because coverage and service eligibility can depend on ownership and the individual vehicle, ask Genesis to verify what remains and what applies before purchase.
Is the 2024 Genesis G90 worth buying?
The G90 is a strong fit for buyers who want a quiet ride, high cabin comfort and abundant equipment in a full-size sedan. The base 3.5T offers slightly better Genesis-estimated fuel economy and more trunk capacity; the e-Supercharger delivers higher output and additional comfort-oriented equipment, including air suspension and Chauffeur drive mode, as described by Car and Driver. The trade-offs are less incisive handling than top European rivals, cord-required phone mirroring and limited luggage room—especially in the e-Supercharger. Choose the trim around the balance of power, rear-seat amenities and cargo space that matters to you.
