What is the difference between Edge ST-Line and ST?
ST-Line: sporty appearance with the four-cylinder
ST-Line is a distinct trim with sporty styling and equipment, but it is not the performance ST. Ford’s ST-Line inventory example specifies a Twin-Scroll 2.0L EcoBoost, Intelligent AWD and an eight-speed automatic. That example also shows SYNC 4A with a 12-inch screen, heated seats, a power liftgate, Ford Co-Pilot360 and wireless charging; equipment can vary by vehicle and package.

ST: the V6 performance model
The ST uses a 335-hp 2.7L EcoBoost V6. Cars.com reports a seven-speed automatic for the ST, while the Ford material cited here does not provide a complete official powertrain matrix for every trim. Ford’s towing guide identifies the ST as a 2.7L V6 AWD model and says its Class II Trailer Tow Package is standard.
What engines and transmissions does the 2024 Edge have?
The reported lineup pairs the SE, SEL, ST-Line and Titanium with a 250-hp 2.0L turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder and an eight-speed automatic. Ford’s Titanium inventory example also identifies the 2.0L EcoBoost, AWD and an eight-speed automatic. Its displayed hands-free liftgate, rain-sensing wipers and ambient lighting are example equipment, not a guarantee for every Titanium build.

The ST’s reported 2.7L V6 output is 335 hp. Confirm the engine and transmission on the specific vehicle’s window sticker, since the available Ford examples do not establish a full official matrix for every U.S. trim.
What is the 2024 Ford Edge MPG?
Cars.com reports EPA-estimated fuel economy of 21 city/28 highway mpg for 2.0L trims and 19 city/25 highway mpg for the ST. These are secondary-source figures reporting EPA estimates; the original EPA label on the individual vehicle is the best way to confirm the exact configuration.

How much can a 2024 Ford Edge tow?
Ford’s 2024 Edge Towing Guide lists 1,500 pounds for one 2.0L EcoBoost I4 AWD application and up to 3,500 pounds for a properly equipped 2.0L AWD with Class II Trailer Tow Package 53G. The 2.7L V6 AWD ST is rated up to 3,500 pounds, with package 53G standard. The 3,500-pound figure is not a blanket rating for every Edge.
- Package 53G includes a hitch receiver, 4-pin trailer wiring harness and trailer sway control.
- Ford gives maximum trailer frontal area as 20 square feet without the Class II package and 30 square feet with it.
- Ford cautions: “Maximum towing capabilities are for properly equipped vehicles with required equipment and a 150-lb. driver and passenger and vary based on cargo, vehicle configuration, accessories, option content and number of passengers.”
- The combined vehicle and trailer weight must remain within the vehicle’s gross combined weight rating (GCWR). Cargo and passengers also affect the usable capacity.
Before towing, check the exact vehicle’s rating, payload and package status, along with the trailer and load. A receiver or accessory alone does not establish that a vehicle has the package or capacity. Ford’s 2024 Edge accessories catalog is a starting point for checking compatible accessories.

How big is the 2024 Ford Edge?
Cars.com’s 2024 SEL example lists an overall length of 188.8 inches, a height of 68.3 inches, five seats and AWD. Treat those dimensions as representative secondary-source information rather than a complete official specification sheet for every configuration; measure your garage and verify the specific vehicle if fit is critical.
