BMW announced a US MSRP of $8,245 plus destination. That is the original model-year list price, not a current dealer quote or used-market value.
2024 BMW C 400 GT price and colors
BMW Motorrad USA announced the 2024 C 400 GT at $8,245 plus destination on June 30, 2023. The price is a historical announced MSRP; destination charges and dealer pricing are additional, and the announcement does not establish today’s asking prices. BMW Motorrad USA’s 2024 lineup announcement is the source for the US model-year pricing and color information.
- Alpine White: standard color.
- Style Triple Black: an option.
- Style Exclusive in Imperial Blue Metallic: an option that replaced Callisto Gray Metallic.
BMW said the C 400 GT’s options and packages, as well as its standard equipment, had no changes for the 2024 model-year update.
What changed for 2024—and what did not
The documented 2024 change was the color offering, including Imperial Blue Metallic replacing Callisto Gray Metallic. BMW did not announce new C 400 GT equipment in that model-year release. In particular, the release does not list Intelligent Emergency Call as a 2024 C 400 GT addition; BMW named other models receiving that feature, so their changes should not be applied to this scooter.

2024 C 400 GT specifications: useful reference, with a year caveat
BMW’s current regional technical page describes a 350 cc, water-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine producing 25 kW (34 hp) at 7,500 rpm and 35 Nm at 5,750 rpm. These are manufacturer figures on a current page accessed in 2026, not independently measured test results or a confirmed 2024 US specification sheet. BMW Motorrad’s current C 400 GT technical data also lists the following reference specifications:

The specifications help frame the scooter, but regional and current data should not be treated as proof that every listed figure or feature applied to the 2024 US version.

Equipment: separate the 2024 announcement from later specifications
BMW’s current technical page lists features such as a 6.5-inch TFT display with BMW Motorrad Connectivity, ABS Pro with Dynamic Brake Control, Dynamic Traction Control and engine drag torque control, LED lighting, Flexcase storage, a center stand, a USB socket and ride-by-wire. It also lists optional heated grips and seat, a touring package, a Connectivity Pro display, a luggage rack and an anti-theft alarm.
Those details describe the current page, not a definitive 2024 US equipment list. The US model-year announcement establishes only that standard equipment and options/packages were unchanged for 2024; it does not enumerate them. Check the equipment on the specific scooter or its original US-market documentation before relying on a feature being present.

What changed on the later C 400 GT
BMW announced a substantially updated C 400 GT after the 2024 model year. Its global release on October 10, 2024 described an update with EU-5+ homologation, standard ABS Pro and related controls, a standard 6.5-inch TFT, more storage and a manually adjustable windscreen. BMW Motorrad USA’s December 19, 2024 announcement identifies its updated offering as the 2025 C 400 GT, with changes including ABS Pro, Dynamic Brake Control, Dynamic Traction Control and engine-brake control, increased under-seat and front-compartment storage, USB-C, and seat and windscreen revisions.
These are later-model changes, not 2024 features. BMW Motorrad described the C 400 GT and C 400 X in its October 10, 2024 global announcement as “two premium vehicles for the mid-size scooter segment”; that is the manufacturer’s positioning, not an independent road-test conclusion. The later update also included a 43.5 L electrified top case with interior lighting and USB charging, intended for a vibration-decoupled luggage rack. The cited update materials do not establish that this accessory or rack fits a 2024 US scooter. For a specific accessory, confirm the model-year and VIN fitment with BMW Motorrad or a dealer.

BMW’s current technical page specifies a 120/70-15 front tire and a 150/70-14 rear tire. A search for a “120/70-15 front scooter tire” can help locate candidates, but size alone does not confirm compatibility. Before ordering, check the tire’s construction, load and speed ratings, as well as fitment for the exact vehicle variant. Who should consider the 2024 model?
The evidence supports describing the C 400 GT as BMW’s touring-oriented entry in the mid-size scooter segment, not declaring it superior to the C 400 X or another scooter. A useful comparison should use same-year, same-market information and consider:
- Announced price and destination charges, rather than mixing an original MSRP with current used prices.
- Wind protection, storage and seat comfort, assessed on the particular model year.
- Seat height and weight, using specifications with matching measurement conventions.
- Standard safety electronics and display/connectivity equipment, verified for the exact year and market.
- Tire and service costs, plus local dealer support.
- Whether the comparison model includes equipment introduced with the 2025 update.
The available manufacturer material does not establish independent ride impressions, comparative test results, fuel-economy measurements, long-term reliability statistics or a head-to-head winner. Those questions require evidence beyond the model-year announcement and technical references.
