The 800-hp figure belongs to the optional supercharged version of the 2023 Carroll Shelby Centennial Edition F-150 Super Snake—not its standard configuration. Shelby based the limited-run truck on a Ford F-150 Lariat 4×4 with a 5.0-liter V8, rated at 400 hp without the supercharger. The company announced 100 four-door trucks for the U.S. market.
What is the Shelby Centennial Edition F-150?
Introduced for 2023, the Carroll Shelby Centennial Edition F-150 Super Snake commemorates the 100th anniversary of Carroll Shelby’s birth. Shelby American describes it as a modified Ford F-150 Lariat 4×4 with a 5.0-liter V8 and SuperCrew cab. The announced production run was 100 four-door trucks for the U.S. market; that figure describes the planned run, not how many are currently available.
Shelby’s launch announcement describes the optional power increase this way: “the optional supercharger boosts the V8 engine to 800* horsepower.” The asterisk matters: Shelby bases that rating on 93-octane fuel, and the supercharger was offered post-title. Shelby American’s 2023 announcement identifies the model and its output qualifications.
How much horsepower does it have?
Shelby lists 400 hp for the truck’s standard, naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 configuration. The optional supercharger brings Shelby’s stated rating to 800 hp on 93-octane fuel. Because the supercharger was a post-title option, buyers should distinguish the factory-based truck from a truck actually equipped with that system.

Is it the same truck as the 2026 Shelby F-150?
No. The Centennial Edition is a 2023 F-150 Super Snake with an optional Shelby-rated 800-hp supercharged configuration. Shelby’s separate 2026 F-150 Off-Road is advertised at 810+ hp and is described as a 10th-anniversary edition of Shelby performance trucks. The newer model’s specifications and equipment belong to that 2026 package, not the 2023 Centennial Edition.
