Ducati’s published technical sheet lists a 1,262 cc engine producing 159 hp and 129 Nm, but that document is marked MY19—not a definitive 2022 specification for every market. The available evidence does not establish a reliable 2022 MSRP or current used price.
What changed for the 2022 Ducati Diavel 1260?
Ducati announced the Diavel 1260 S Black and Steel on 9 June 2021 as a Model Year 2022 addition to the Diavel 1260 family. The Black and Steel is an S trim, not a separate engine family. Ducati describes the Diavel as combining maxi-naked performance with muscle-cruiser ergonomics; that is the manufacturer’s positioning, not an independent riding assessment. Ducati’s announcement also links to a presentation video and further images.
Black and Steel design
The S Black and Steel uses asymmetrical graphics with glossy grey, matt black, and yellow details. Ducati says the design draws on its Diavel “Materico” concept. The visual update is the model-year-specific change established by the announcement; it does not provide a complete equipment comparison between every 2022 trim or market.

The figures are listed for both Diavel 1260 and Diavel 1260 S entries in Ducati’s Diavel 1260 technical sheet. Because the file is marked MY19, it supports the published specification baseline but does not prove that output or homologation is identical for every 2022 market. The available material does not establish acceleration, top speed, fuel economy, measured handling, or comparative performance.

2022 Ducati Diavel 1260 price: what is established?
A reliable 2022 MSRP for a specific trim and region, and a present-day used-market value, are not established by the available sources. Do not treat the following earlier manufacturer prices as 2022 pricing:

Ducati’s certification index includes a Diavel 1260 entry in its Model Year 2022 table, with declarations for DMS (Bluetooth), HandsFree, and HandsFree Key. These documents confirm a model-year listing and device paperwork; they are not a complete list of standard equipment for every trim or country. Check the local 2022 homologation and dealer specification for a particular motorcycle before relying on market-specific output or equipment details.
