ABT also published a 3.9-second 0–100 km/h time and an optional 270 km/h maximum speed. These are ABT’s figures, not independently verified test results. The later VZ5 BAT x ABT and VZ5 635 are separate editions, not alternate names for this 2022 upgrade.
What does ABT change on the 2022 Formentor VZ5?
ABT Sportsline’s 2022 announcement describes its VZ5-specific ABT Power S engine upgrade. It gives the standard VZ5’s 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine an output of 390 HP (287 kW) and 480 Nm, and says Power S lifts those figures to 450 HP (331 kW) and 530 Nm. ABT Sportsline’s announcement is the source for these specifications.
ABT reported 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, compared with 4.2 seconds in its stated comparison, and said the maximum speed could be raised from 250 to 270 km/h. Treat the acceleration and speed figures as manufacturer-published claims; they are not independent test measurements. The announcement does not establish the performance of any particular used car or confirm that every VZ5 advertised with ABT styling has the Power S tune.
Which wheels did ABT list?
For the VZ5, ABT listed 20-inch SPORT GR wheels in matte or gloss black and 21-inch SPORT HR wheels in gloss black. That historical list does not establish current availability or fitment in a specific country. Confirm wheel fitment and local orderability with an authorized dealer before buying.

How is the 2022 Power S different from later ABT VZ5 editions?
The names and figures can be easy to conflate. A VZ5 with the 2022 Power S upgrade is not automatically a BAT x ABT special edition or the later VZ5 635. Their published specifications and production limits refer to distinct offerings.

The units are reproduced as each publisher stated them; HP and PS are not interchangeable labels. In particular, the 500-unit limit belongs to the 2023 BAT x ABT, while the 30-unit limit belongs to the 2026 VZ5 635. Neither limit applies to the original VZ5 or to every car fitted with ABT parts.

Is CUSTOM CUPRA by ABT the same performance upgrade?
No. CUPRA’s 2026 CUSTOM CUPRA by ABT offer is a styling package, separate from the 2022 Power S engine tune and from the limited VZ5 editions. For the VZ5, the listed package includes a roof spoiler, rear C-flaps, front air-curtain elements, side door mouldings, dark-chrome logos and glossy-black 20-inch VZ5 Exclusive wheels; CUPRA’s VZ5 specification omits front and rear splitters. CUPRA says the package is available from July 2026 through vehicle ordering or authorized dealers. Availability should be checked locally.

A model-year description, ABT wheels or exterior trim alone cannot prove that a car has the Power S tune or belongs to a limited edition. For a specific vehicle, compare its VIN and build documents with dealer records and the edition named in its paperwork. Ask the seller or authorized dealer to document the engine upgrade, edition identity and fitted options. The cited announcements do not establish retrofit eligibility, warranty coverage, insurance treatment or country-specific legality; verify those points with the relevant local parties before purchase or modification.
