What the 2019 owner’s manual says about maintenance
The manual recommends carrying out routine maintenance and checks at an authorized Piaggio dealer or service centre; it describes some simple repairs in the booklet. It also says to visually check the engine-oil level every time the scooter is used.
Check the oil level
- Let the engine be cold.
- Place the scooter upright on its centre stand on level ground.
- Visually check the oil level and do not exceed the maximum mark.
- Use the matching handbook’s scheduled maintenance table and contact an authorized service centre when service is due or when you have a maintenance question.
The manual does not support giving one universal oil grade here; confirm the required specification in the correct handbook for your scooter and market. It says Piaggio Group recommends products from its Castrol official partner for scheduled maintenance and instructs owners to use lubricants and fluids meeting or exceeding specified performance characteristics, including for top-ups.

Vespa lists tubeless tires sized 120/70-12 front and 130/70-12 rear. Those dimensions help identify the factory sizes, but do not establish that any particular replacement listing is suitable. Check the required load and speed ratings and confirm fitment for the exact market and scooter before ordering.

Equipment can differ among GTS versions. The manual says GTS Super and GTS SuperSport versions have a grab handle, while GTS and GTS Touring versions have rear luggage carriers. Do not assume a carrier or other accessory will fit every GTS variant. A Louis catalog groups GTS 300 IE, Super, SuperSport, Tech and HPE models for 2019–2020, but warns that country specifications may differ and recommends checking the handbook or manufacturer.
