Lamborghini’s July 31, 2013 announcement said the road car and racer shared the same V10 engine, used in the racing version “with no modifications.” LamboCARS reports that 50 were made, though that total is not confirmed by a factory production register.
What is the Gallardo Squadra Corse?
Introduced for its world premiere at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the LP 570-4 Squadra Corse brought the Super Trofeo racing program into a road-legal Gallardo special. Contemporary coverage characterized it as the most extreme Gallardo in the lineup. Its defining idea is the close connection to the race car, rather than simply a cosmetic package.
A July 31, 2013 Lamborghini press-release reproduction states: “Both share the same V10 engine, which is used in the racing version with no modifications.” The release is reproduced by Lamborghini Dallas, rather than hosted on Lamborghini’s own website.
How many were made?
LamboCARS reports a production run of 50 Squadra Corse cars. That is the commonly cited figure, but it is not independently confirmed here against a Lamborghini factory production register. Treat it as a published production report, not a verified factory total.

Engine, power and drivetrain
Specifications vary by source and unit. Cars.com’s historical 2014 trim listing gives the 5.2-liter ten-cylinder engine a rating of 562 hp. Quattroruote’s 2013 report instead lists 570 CV at 8,000 rpm. These are the respective sources’ stated figures; they should not be presented as if they were the same number in the same unit.
The period trim listing describes the car as all-wheel drive with a six-speed automatic-shift manual transmission. Lamborghini’s engine-sharing claim links the Squadra Corse to the Super Trofeo racer, but it does not establish that every other race-car component or specification is identical.

What do the figures mean for buyers and collectors?
The numbers describe different things: power figures depend on the source and unit, and Quattroruote’s 1,340 kg is explicitly a dry-weight figure. It should not be used as a curb-weight comparison without a matching measurement basis. Likewise, the $259,100 Cars.com figure is a historical starting MSRP for the 2014 trim, not a present-day asking price or valuation.
The reported run of 50 gives the car a clear rarity claim, but the available production figure is secondary reporting rather than a primary factory register. Anyone assessing a particular car should distinguish model identity and documentation from broad claims about rarity or value.
