There was no separate 2014 road-car trim officially named “SRT GTS-R.” For the 2014 model year, the road-car lineup was the SRT Viper and SRT Viper GTS; GTS-R Blue was an optional paint color for both. “SRT Viper GTS-R” also refers to a distinct competition car. The title may therefore mean a road-going GTS painted GTS-R Blue, but the name alone cannot establish a specific car’s trim, color, or history.
What “2014 Dodge Viper SRT GTS-R” means
Chrysler Group/SRT’s 2014 specification and feature sheet identifies the two road models as SRT Viper and SRT Viper GTS. It lists GTS-R Blue as an optional exterior color for each, not as a distinct trim. The manufacturer’s overview likewise describes a two-model road lineup.
There is a second meaning: SRT Viper GTS-R was the name of SRT Motorsport’s competition entry, including its 2013 24 Hours of Le Mans effort, as described in Stellantis Media’s race report. That race car is not another retail trim of the 2014 road Viper.
2014 SRT Viper road-car specifications
The manufacturer’s specification sheet describes a coupe with a longitudinal front engine, rear-wheel drive, and a six-speed manual transmission. Its 8.4-liter (512-cubic-inch) V10 was rated at 640 SAE net horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 600 lb-ft (814 N·m) of torque at 5,000 rpm. These are manufacturer ratings, not independent test results. The sheet specifies premium 91-octane fuel.

The 2013 overview says the chassis had 50 percent greater torsional stiffness than the 2010 model. That is SRT’s stated comparison, not an independently verified measurement. The available sources do not establish a reliable acceleration figure, real-world fuel economy, reliability ranking, or owner-satisfaction score for this specific model.
How the SRT Viper and Viper GTS differ
The GTS was the more equipment-rich road version. Its specific distinction highlighted in the manufacturer overview is a driver-selectable two-mode suspension. For exact standard and optional equipment, consult the 2014 feature sheet; equipment and options should not be assumed for an individual car without its build information.

When comparing two actual 2014 road cars, check their documented suspension, standard and optional equipment, interior features, and paint or stripe configuration. A GTS-R Blue SRT Viper and a GTS-R Blue Viper GTS can share the paint name while remaining different models.
How to identify a particular car
- Use the VIN and vehicle build information to confirm whether it is an SRT Viper or SRT Viper GTS and to check its factory options.
- Verify the paint code or original build documentation before describing a car as GTS-R Blue; an exterior appearance or seller listing alone does not establish factory paint or originality.
- Distinguish a road car from the competition GTS-R by its vehicle documentation and context. The GTS-R race-car name does not prove that a road Viper is a special trim or race-derived edition.
Discontinued status and owner support
Dodge says, “The Dodge Viper was discontinued in 2017,” on its Viper support page. The page directs owners to a local Dodge dealer for available authentic Mopar parts and service. It does not guarantee stock; check availability and fitment for the specific VIN with a dealer or parts source.

The official 2014 SRT Viper owner’s manual is available as a PDF. Its accessory section mentions items such as brake rotors, a carbon-fiber X-brace, custom wheels, dust covers, carpet floor mats, wheel locks, a battery charger, and shift knobs. These are manual references, not confirmation that a particular item is currently available or fits a specific car.
For example, Mopar catalog listing part 1WS19SZ0AA describes a 2013–2014 SRT Viper nameplate with the description “Gts,” but explicitly provides no application or vehicle-fitment information. Confirm fitment before ordering rather than treating the model-year description as proof of compatibility.
