Contemporary reporting describes it as adding the Stage 1 exterior components, front and rear blackout panels, chrome wheels and a ROUSH suspension package. The supercharged car in ROUSH’s lineup was the Stage 3; a supercharger fitted to an individual Stage 2 must be verified separately.
What came with the 2012 ROUSH Stage 2?
A 2011 report on ROUSH’s 2012 packages describes Stage 2 as building on the Stage 1 exterior package with blackout panels and suspension upgrades. The reported suspension components were:

The same report says chrome wheels were standard. Treat that as the reported package specification, not proof that a particular surviving car still has its original wheels or components. See FordMuscle’s 2011 report on the 2012 Stage 1 and Stage 2 packages.
Is a 2012 ROUSH Stage 2 supercharged?
Not necessarily. The contemporary package report distinguishes Stage 2 from the supercharged Stage 3. The Stage 2 designation alone does not establish that an engine has a supercharger.

- Roush Performance Phase 2 Supercharger Kit, 2018-2021 Ford Mustang GT, 5.0L V8 Engine Only, Eaton TVS R2650 Supercharger, Low-Temperature Full-Face Intercooler, Boosts Power to 750 HP, 670 ft.-lbs. TQ, Engine Calibration (Tune) Included, Sold as a Kit
ROUSH currently lists a Phase 2 supercharger kit for 2011–2014 Mustang 5.0L applications as a separate product. ROUSH’s listing claims 625 hp and 525 lb-ft for that kit; those figures describe the separate kit, not a stock Stage 2 package. The listing also gives an advanced installation difficulty and an estimated 16-hour installation, and states that sale or installation is not available in California where an EO number is required. Check the current product terms and the specific vehicle before treating this as an available modification: ROUSH Phase 2 supercharger kit listing.
How does Stage 2 differ from Stage 3?
The useful distinction is the engine equipment: the contemporary report describes Stage 2 around appearance and handling, while identifying Stage 3 as the supercharged package. A car’s badge or seller description is not enough to establish its current engine configuration; modifications may have been added or removed. For an individual Mustang, verify the installed hardware and supporting paperwork rather than assuming its equipment from the stage label.

Historical price and what it means
FordMuscle reported a $7,800 price for the core Stage 2 kit in 2011. That is a historical reported kit price, not a current parts quote, complete-vehicle price, or present-day valuation.

Package descriptions help identify what a car may have started with, but they do not prove the build history of a particular vehicle. Before buying or describing one as an original Stage 2, compare the car against its ROUSH documentation, package invoice and serialized plaque information, then inspect its current equipment. Verify appearance parts, suspension, wheels and tires, brakes, and any engine modifications individually.

For owners sourcing an intake, ROUSH lists a cold air intake for 2011–2014 Mustang GT 5.0L V8 models. Its product page describes a filter, MAF tube, airbox tray and hardware; it reuses the factory clean-air tube rather than supplying a new one. The listing establishes an application for those Mustang GT models, not that the intake was standard Stage 2 equipment. Check the vehicle’s engine, existing intake pieces and exact fitment before ordering: ROUSH cold air intake kit listing.
