Identify the exact 2007 V Star Classic variant
Yamaha’s 2007 owner’s manual covers the XVS65W(C), XVS65AW(C), and XVS65ATW(C) model-code families; the Classic configuration is associated with the XVS65AW family. The manual says the model label is affixed to the frame under the rider seat. Check that label or the VIN before using variant-specific specifications or buying parts.
The manual is a Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. publication, first edition March 2006, document LIT-11626-20-04. It covers operation, inspection, safety, basic maintenance, and specifications—not a substitute for detailed repair procedures.

Check tire fitment by model code
The owner’s manual specifies tube-type tires. The front tire is not the same across every model code in the manual, so do not assume a single front size fits all 2007 V Star variants.

The manual names Bridgestone Exedra and Dunlop options by variant. Confirm the motorcycle’s model code and check the tire maker’s current fitment information before selecting replacements.

Owner’s manual or service manual?
For riding, inspections, and basic maintenance
Use the 2007 Yamaha V Star Classic owner’s manual for operating instructions, safety guidance, specifications, and the model’s maintenance schedule. Follow the schedule in the manual for the exact motorcycle and its operating conditions rather than relying on an interval quoted for a different variant.
For detailed repair procedures
A third-party Manuals+ page identifies a Yamaha XVS650 V-Star Classic Motorcycle Service Manual for 2006–2010, part number LIT-11616-XV-02, and describes service and repair procedures, maintenance, specifications, diagrams, and troubleshooting. Parts and accessory checks
Match replacement parts and accessories to the frame model label or VIN, especially when fitment depends on the variant. Yamaha’s owner’s manual says genuine Yamaha parts and accessories are designed and tested for compatibility; it also cautions that non-Yamaha-approved accessories or replacement parts may affect handling stability and riding safety. Use securely mounted, model-specific equipment and consult a Yamaha dealer when fitment or maintenance is uncertain.
