A 2001 Renault Clio V6—badged Lutécia V6 in Japan—is listed for sale with about 19,000 miles shown on its metric instrument cluster. The California-located, left-hand-drive car has a clean Washington title according to the seller, but its live auction bid is not a completed sale price, and buyers must verify the car’s condition and registration eligibility for their state.
What is this 2001 Clio V6?
Cars & Bids identifies the car as a 2001 Renault Clio V6, VIN VF1C61A0610605175. It is a Japanese-market, left-hand-drive example badged Lutécia V6, titled as a 2001 Renault Lutécia in Washington and located in California. The listing reports approximately 30,300 kilometers, or 19,000 miles, on the metric instrument cluster. The seller reports a clean Washington title; that is not an independent title-history verification. See the Cars & Bids listing.
The listing describes a Phase 1 configuration with a mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6, rear-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission. Published output is 230 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. Cars & Bids says TWR transformed the Phase 1 into a wide-bodied, mid-engine, rear-drive two-seater, with examples hand-built in Uddevalla, Sweden; those details and specifications are as presented in the listing.
What is the current auction status?
At the Cars & Bids listing snapshot accessed October 7, 2026, bidding stood at $50,000 with five bids, and the reserve auction was scheduled to close October 17, 2026 at 19:06 UTC. Auction bids and status can change. The displayed $50,000 is an active bid, not a completed sale price.

Autoblog’s Kyle Edward estimated a Phase 1 fair-value range of $55,000–$75,000, with $64,000 as the most likely value. That is the author’s opinion, not an appraisal or a guaranteed result. The article cited a £59,000 Collecting Cars result for a concours-quality Iliad Blue example and a £28,125 Iconic Auctioneers result for a left-hand-drive Iceberg Silver example; those results are reported by Autoblog and have not been independently verified here. Two reported comparisons and an active bid do not establish a comprehensive market value. Read Autoblog’s coverage.
What condition and service history does the listing report?
The seller reports no notable modifications. Listed equipment includes 17-inch wheels, a Clio V6-specific body kit, rear wiper, leather and synthetic-suede upholstery, front sport seats, air conditioning and a CD player. Disclosed cosmetic wear includes scratches on the front lip spoiler and rear bumper, as well as wear on the center-console trim and shifter boot. The sale includes one key and Japanese-language service records.

The seller-reported service chronology includes:
- 2026: Engine mount and power-steering hose replaced.
- December 2021 at 29,059 km: Timing belt, water pump, top engine mount and thermostat replaced; air filter replaced; engine oil and filter, transmission fluid, coolant, clutch fluid and power-steering fluid changed.
- October 2020 at 28,297 km: Brake fluid changed.
- February 2020: Ignition coils and spark plugs replaced, throttle body cleaned, transmission fluid changed and ECU reset.
Autoblog noted that the timing-belt work was about five years old at the time of its October 5, 2026 article and advised checking the belt and cooling system. The available information does not establish a present fault in either system. Ask a qualified specialist to review the original Japanese records, assess current condition and advise on the appropriate service schedule.

- Match the identity and title. Confirm the VIN, exact title name and title details with the seller, then verify the title status with the relevant state authority. The listing’s “clean Washington title” description is a seller statement.
- Check eligibility where you will register it. The seller warns that an imported car may not pass emissions testing in some states and says bidders should verify local requirements. Ask the relevant authority about registration and emissions eligibility for your intended state; the listing does not settle the rules for a particular buyer.
- Review records and service needs. Have a specialist who can interpret the Japanese-language documents confirm the recorded mileage and work, particularly the December 2021 timing-belt and water-pump service. Ask what service is due now rather than treating a past replacement as proof of current condition.
- Inspect systems and disclosed wear. Arrange an inspection of the cooling system, the recent hose and engine-mount work, and the listed exterior and interior wear. The listing does not establish that these areas are defective.
- Account for what comes with the car. Only one key is included. Factor that into your plans and costs, and clarify the records and any other items included in the sale.
Cars & Bids says listing details come from the seller and bidders are responsible for verifying them. For comparisons with other Clio V6s or imported performance cars, give weight to documented condition and originality, evidence supporting mileage, service history, local registration eligibility, included keys and records, and completed sales—not active bids or unsourced estimates.
