For three-row family hauling
The Suburban LT and Expedition XL are full-size choices, while the Highlander L also offers three rows in a different vehicle class. The article highlights the Suburban’s cargo capacity and the Expedition’s towing capability, but the actual room, equipment, and towing configuration depend on the specific vehicle. The Highlander is the three-row option in the list if you want a Toyota model rather than a full-size SUV.

Kelley Blue Book says its vehicle values reflect local conditions in more than 100 geographic regions and are updated weekly. It distinguishes trade-in values from private-party values, so choose the valuation type that matches the transaction you are considering. A nationwide article average and a local value are not interchangeable.

- Check a current local value. Use a current valuation and compare it with live listings for similar vehicles in your area. Account for condition and whether the price is a dealer asking price, private-party price, or trade-in value.
- Review records and inspect condition. Ask for service records and vehicle-history information, then arrange an independent inspection. The list is a shopping shortlist, not an inspection or reliability guarantee for any individual SUV.
- Check for open recalls. Search the VIN or license plate using NHTSA’s recall lookup. NHTSA’s tool reports unrepaired recalls for a specific vehicle; recalls do not expire.
- Price the whole purchase. Include taxes, registration, financing, insurance, and any immediate maintenance or repairs when deciding whether the vehicle fits your budget.
Kelley Blue Book’s vehicle-value explanation describes its regional, weekly-updated values. Since listings and vehicle condition vary, the only reliable way to establish whether a specific example is currently available under $25,000 is to check that vehicle and its local market.
