The 2025 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Ultra is a new, more fully equipped touring model built around two-up, long-distance travel. Compared with the standard Street Glide, it adds a Tour-Pak with passenger support, more than twice the listed luggage capacity, a taller windshield and adjustable rear preload, while costing more and weighing more. The figures below are from Harley-Davidson’s U.S. model information; they are a preview of published equipment and claims, not independent road-test results.
1. It is a new Street Glide aimed at two-up touring
Harley-Davidson introduced the Street Glide Ultra for the 2025 lineup as a long-haul Grand American Touring motorcycle. The company says it combines elements of the 2024 Street Glide with features intended to support two-up travel, and calls it its most capable regular-production Grand American Touring motorcycle. 2. It uses a Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-twin
Harley-Davidson’s U.S. specifications list the Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine at 105 hp and 130 lb-ft of torque. The company identifies the torque test method as J1349. Its listed estimated fuel economy is 44 mpg city/highway; this is a manufacturer estimate, not a result from an independent fuel-economy test. The U.S. model page lists the specifications.
Cooling details
Harley-Davidson describes the 117 as having liquid-cooled cylinder heads and a centrally located radiator that directs air into the intake for quicker cooling. That explains the stated design, but does not establish how hot the motorcycle feels in particular conditions or predict durability.

3. The wind-management package is larger
The Ultra has a clear windshield that Harley-Davidson says is four inches taller than the windshield on standard Street Glide models. The manufacturer claims it can reduce helmet buffeting by up to 60 percent; treat that as a product claim, not a guaranteed result for every rider, helmet or setup.
Other listed wind-management equipment includes new fairing lowers with adjustable vents and larger adjustable fork-mounted air deflectors. These give riders more components to adjust, but the published feature list does not quantify their effect in real-world riding.

4. The seat and grips are designed with passengers in mind
Harley-Davidson describes the two-up comfort seat as designed for all-day riding. The company says its shape rotates the rider’s hips forward to relieve pressure on the spine, and heated grips are included. These describe design intent and equipment; comfort depends on the rider, passenger, fit and journey.
5. A King Tour-Pak comes standard
The Ultra includes a King Tour-Pak with a passenger back pad and armrests. Harley-Davidson lists 4.9 cubic feet of combined storage across the hard-shell carrier, fairing cubbies and saddlebags. That is more than twice the 2.42 cubic feet listed for the standard Street Glide, making luggage capacity one of the clearest equipment differences between the models.

6. Rear preload can be adjusted for changing loads
The listed rear suspension is SHOWA dual outboard emulsion shocks with three inches of travel and hand-adjustable remote hydraulic preload. Preload adjustment is relevant when luggage or a passenger changes the load; the specification alone does not establish ride quality or handling under any particular load.
7. The display combines navigation and smartphone features
A 12.3-inch color TFT display runs Skyline OS. Harley-Davidson lists four ride modes and built-in navigation with voice recognition. The specifications also include Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity for phone, media and headsets, USB-C and two 5.25-inch fairing speakers. The model page describes the audio system as 200 watts. Harley-Davidson lists ABS, electronic linked braking and Vehicle Hold Control (VHC), as well as cornering rider-safety enhancements. VHC can hold the motorcycle after a brake squeeze at a stop, which may be useful when stopped on an incline. Harley-Davidson expressly says VHC is not a replacement for a parking brake. These systems can assist the rider but cannot eliminate crash risk.

9. It costs more and weighs more than the standard Street Glide

The figures are manufacturer-listed U.S. starting MSRPs and specifications, not out-the-door prices. The Ultra’s additional listed weight is 55 lb. Its higher starting price and weight buy more standard touring and passenger equipment, especially the Tour-Pak and added storage; that trade-off does not make it the better choice for every rider. Dealer charges and local configuration can affect the price you pay. Check the current U.S. model listing for details.
10. Prices and specifications depend on the market
The figures in this article use Harley-Davidson’s U.S. pages. The company’s Australian listing, for example, gives a different starting price of AU$48,750+ and presents headline measurements in metric units. Do not convert the U.S. MSRP into an expected local or out-the-door price; verify the price, equipment and specifications with Harley-Davidson in your market. Offers shown by the manufacturer may also depend on eligibility, credit approval, term, other charges and dealer participation.
