These 10 U.S.-market 2026 models offer notable technology, but the evidence is a mix of manufacturer specifications and individual reviews—not a shared test or objective ranking. Use the comparison to narrow your choices, then check the exact trim and equipment before buying.
How to compare luxury SUV technology
Screen size is easy to compare; usability is not. Try common tasks—changing climate settings, finding a destination, adjusting audio and dismissing an alert—while parked. A polished display can still hide controls in menus. Also separate a feature’s name from what it can actually do: driver-assistance systems have operating conditions and limits, and availability can vary by trim.
For plug-in hybrids and electric SUVs, compare estimated electric range with your daily driving and charging access. An EV’s charging speed and installation options depend on the vehicle and household electrical setup; a home Level 2 charger is worth considering only after confirming compatibility and installation requirements.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which one should you shortlist?
- For an all-electric three-row SUV: Start with the Cadillac VISTIQ, checking the range estimate against your routes and confirming desired options.
- For a plug-in hybrid with comfort and navigation tech: Compare the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450e and BMW X5 xDrive50e. Their reported electric ranges differ, and the Edmunds comparison describes distinct strengths in comfort, usability and sporty driving.
- For a screen-rich cabin: Consider the Genesis GV80, BMW X5 or BMW X7, but test the interfaces instead of treating display size as a proxy for ease of use.
- For hands-free assistance: Review the system’s operating roads, conditions and required services. Cadillac’s stated Super Cruise coverage is limited to compatible highways in North America.
What the comparisons do—and do not—show
These sources do not establish an overall “best technology” winner across all ten SUVs. Cadillac’s specifications describe its own equipment and estimates; Edmunds’ published comparison covers the GLE and X5; Tom’s Guide reports one week-long GV80 experience; and Consumer Reports’ cited material is a 2026 reprint. They are useful for identifying features and questions to investigate, but not a common scoring protocol. Edmunds’ summary, as republished by AP, puts the choice plainly: “You might prefer the X5 if sporty driving is a priority, but otherwise the GLE is the better option due to its more serene comfort and exceptional build quality and easier-to-use technology.”
