10 Fastest Electric Motorcycles You Can Buy In 2024

These are the fastest electric motorcycles that met a practical 2024 purchase test: they had to be production models that could be ordered, found through a dealer, or obtained through documented customer deliveries during the year. The ranking uses each manufacturer’s claimed electronically limited top speed—not an independently verified test result.

That distinction matters. The Lightning LS-218 was a factory-order, low-volume superbike rather than a normal showroom motorcycle. Energica’s lineup was commercially available earlier in 2024, but the company entered judicial liquidation on October 14. Verge delivered TS Pro motorcycles in Finland, while U.S. availability was less certain. Models such as the Damon HyperSport are excluded because reservations and performance claims did not amount to delivered production motorcycles.

Fastest electric motorcycles you could buy in 2024

Rank Motorcycle Claimed top speed 2024 purchase qualification
1 Lightning LS-218 218 mph / 350 km/h Factory-order, low-volume motorcycle
2 Energica Ego+ RS 150 mph / 241 km/h Dealer-network availability early in 2024
3 Energica Eva Ribelle RS 125 mph / 201 km/h Production model; availability depended on timing and stock
4 Energica EsseEsse9 RS 125 mph / 201 km/h Production model; availability depended on timing and stock
5 Zero SR/F 124 mph / 200 km/h Conventional dealer-sold production motorcycle
6 Zero SR/S 124 mph / 200 km/h Conventional dealer-sold production motorcycle
7 Verge TS Pro 124 mph / 200 km/h Customer deliveries began in Finland
8 Energica Experia 112 mph / 180 km/h Production electric touring motorcycle
9 Zero DSR/X 112 mph Production adventure motorcycle
10 LiveWire ONE 110 mph Normally purchasable in the U.S.

1. Lightning LS-218 — 218 mph

The Lightning LS-218 sits in a different category from almost everything else here. Its name refers to the manufacturer’s claimed 218-mph top speed, making it the clear leader on paper. Lightning’s 2024 brochure listed the figure for its electric superbike, and the company was accepting orders under a 2024 purchase agreement.

“Buyable” needs a qualification: this was a specialized, low-volume, factory-order motorcycle, not a mass-produced model you could typically find at a local dealer. The 218-mph claim should also be treated as a manufacturer-listed maximum associated with a particular high-performance configuration—not a promise that every street-equipped example will reach that speed in ordinary conditions.

2. Energica Ego+ RS — 150 mph

The fully faired Energica Ego+ RS was the fastest conventional production electric sportbike in this list after the Lightning, with a claimed 150 mph top speed. Energica also listed a 0-to-60-mph time of 2.6 seconds.

The Ego+ RS was sold through Energica’s dealer network during the first part of 2024. However, Energica entered Italian judicial liquidation on October 14, 2024. That means “available in 2024” is most accurate when referring to earlier-year dealer sales, existing inventory, or motorcycles already in the delivery pipeline. Buyers also had to consider what parts, warranty, and service support would look like after the liquidation filing.

3. Energica Eva Ribelle RS — 125 mph

The Eva Ribelle RS is the naked-bike counterpart to the Ego, although its later EMCE-based specification is slower than figures often repeated in older electric-motorcycle articles. Energica listed a 125-mph top speed and a 2.6-second RS 0-to-60-mph time.

The commonly quoted 150-mph number belongs to an earlier Eva Ribelle specification. It should not be carried over to the 2024 version without explanation. Like the other Energica models, the RS was a production motorcycle, but availability after the October liquidation depended on dealer stock and the market in question.

Energica Eva Ribelle specifications

4. Energica EsseEsse9 RS — 125 mph

The EsseEsse9 RS shares the Eva Ribelle’s listed 125-mph maximum speed but has a more upright, road-oriented design. Energica claimed 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds for the RS version.

  • REMOVABLE 60V 28.8AH BATTERY – Ride farther with a high-capacity lithium battery that delivers up to 60 miles of range under optimal conditions. The removable design makes charging more convenient at home, in the garage, or wherever power is available.
  • FULL SUSPENSION & HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES – Front and rear suspension help absorb bumps for a smoother ride, while hydraulic disc brakes provide reliable stopping power and better control on dirt roads, gravel, forest trails, and uneven terrain.
  • DURABLE FRAME & ALL-TERRAIN TIRES – Designed for outdoor adventures with a rugged frame and aggressive all-terrain tires that provide outstanding traction and stability across dirt, sand, rocks, grass, and other challenging riding surfaces.
  • ENGINEERED FOR ADULT RIDERS – Combining premium performance with dependable quality, this electric dirt bike is UL2272 certified and built for trail riding, weekend adventures, outdoor recreation, and off-road exploration for riders seeking excitement and reliability.

It is not as overtly sporty as the Ego+ RS, but top speed puts it level with the Eva Ribelle RS. The same availability warning applies: it was a legitimate production motorcycle sold through Energica’s network, but purchases later in 2024 were increasingly dependent on remaining stock and local dealer circumstances.

5. Zero SR/F — 124 mph

Zero’s SR/F was one of the more straightforward motorcycles on this list to buy in 2024. It used the company’s Z-Force 75-10 motor, rated at 113 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque, and had a claimed maximum speed of 124 mph.

The SR/F combines a naked-bike riding position with the immediate acceleration associated with an electric motor. Its top-speed figure is lower than the Energica Ego+ RS, but its conventional production status and Zero dealer network made it more accessible than the low-volume machines above it.

Zero 2024 SR/F specifications

6. Zero SR/S — 124 mph

The fully faired Zero SR/S matched the SR/F’s manufacturer-claimed 124-mph maximum speed. Its fairing and sport-touring ergonomics make it the more suitable choice for riders who expect to spend time at highway speeds or cover longer distances.

Zero also listed a 106-mph sustained top speed for the 2024 SR/S. That is a different measurement from the 124-mph maximum. The maximum speed describes the upper claimed limit; sustained top speed reflects how long the motorcycle can maintain high speed under relevant conditions. Treating the two numbers as interchangeable gives a misleading impression of its performance.

Zero 2024 SR/S specifications

7. Verge TS Pro — 124 mph

The Verge TS Pro is unusual even among electric motorcycles. Its motor is integrated into the rear wheel, eliminating a conventional chain-and-sprocket arrangement, and Verge listed a 124-mph top speed.

It qualifies for this list because Verge announced customer deliveries in Finland during 2024. That does not mean it was broadly available worldwide. Reports at the time described U.S. deliveries as expected in 2024, but an expected arrival is not the same as completed U.S. customer delivery. The company’s current order information also shows why market and timing should be checked before treating the TS Pro as locally available.

8. Energica Experia — 112 mph

The Experia is a touring motorcycle rather than a superbike, but its manufacturer-listed 112-mph top speed is enough to place it in this group. Its inclusion is a reminder that the fastest electric motorcycles are not all designed around lap times and maximum acceleration.

The Experia was a production model available during 2024. As with the other Energicas, the timing of a purchase mattered because the company’s October 14 liquidation changed the outlook for new sales and long-term support.

Energica Experia specifications

9. Zero DSR/X — 112 mph

Zero’s DSR/X brought a claimed 112-mph top speed to the adventure-motorcycle class. It used the Z-Force 75-10X motor and offered a more upright, all-road format than the SR/F and SR/S.

It is not a direct rival to the LS-218 or Ego+ RS: adventure-bike suspension, riding position, luggage capability, and terrain versatility matter more here than outright speed. Nevertheless, on the stated ranking rule, its 112-mph limit places it among the ten fastest production electric motorcycles buyers could obtain in 2024.

10. LiveWire ONE — 110 mph

The LiveWire ONE rounds out the list with a claimed 110-mph top speed, 100 horsepower, and a 3.0-second 0-to-60-mph time. It was a normally purchasable production motorcycle in the United States during 2024, rather than a reservation-only project.

Yozma IN10 Electric Dirt Bike, 40MPH 2600W Off Road Electric Motorcycle
  • High-Performance Motor: Inspired by true motocross, the IN10 electric dirt bike’s 2600W peak mid-drive motor crushes hills and trails with ease. This torque-packed beast conquers slopes up to 30° and rockets to 40 mph the moment you twist the throttle. Adventure is calling—ready to own the dirt?
  • Ultimate Battery Safety: The IN10 e dirt bike features an advanced BMS system that safeguards every charge and every ride. Its removable, long-range battery delivers up to 53 miles of range—powering extended adventures with confidence and ease.
  • Premium Full Suspension: Rear nitrogen shock delivers faster response, smoother comfort, and long-lasting durability. Paired with a 220mm-travel front hydraulic fork, the IN10 ebike maintains stable, consistent damping—even through long, demanding rides.
  • Reliable Stop System: IN10 electric bike’s braking setup pairs advanced EABS with hydraulic disc brakes for powerful, precise stopping. Even on dusty or muddy terrain, it delivers stronger braking force and smoother control—keeping every ride confident and steady.
  • Note: Before riding, please ensure that the brakes/wheels and other devices of the IN10 ebike are installed correctly. Before purchasing, check the local legal age or license requirements to ensure legal use. Teens should operate the bike only under adult supervision and must follow all local safety regulations.

Its position reflects the ranking method, not a judgment about its overall appeal. A motorcycle’s real-world usefulness also depends on charging access, range at highway speeds, ergonomics, dealer support, and how aggressively the rider uses the throttle.

Why the Damon HyperSport is not on the list

Damon’s HyperSport was often described as a 200-mph electric motorcycle, but it was not a delivered production motorcycle that buyers could obtain in 2024. In a June 30, 2024 filing, Damon described more than 3,323 unfulfilled, fully refundable reservations and said commercial production was not expected to begin until 2026.

The HyperFighter had the same basic problem: a published performance specification and reservations are not equivalent to completed customer deliveries. The Verge TS Ultra should also not be silently substituted for the TS Pro; its delivery timing varied by market and was later than the customer-delivered TS Pro.

What “fastest” means here

  1. Manufacturer claim: the speeds are official figures, not independent test results.
  2. Maximum versus sustained speed: a brief maximum and a speed the motorcycle can maintain are separate specifications.
  3. Real availability: the list includes factory orders, dealer sales, and documented deliveries, but not refundable reservations with no production motorcycle.
  4. Market differences: a motorcycle available in Finland or through a specialist factory order was not necessarily available from a U.S. dealer.
  5. Conditions matter: rider weight, battery state of charge, temperature, gearing, tires, road surface, and electronic limits affect actual performance.

FAQ

What was the fastest electric motorcycle you could buy in 2024?

The Lightning LS-218, with a manufacturer-claimed top speed of 218 mph (350 km/h). It was a low-volume, factory-order motorcycle rather than a normal dealer-stock model.

Was the Damon HyperSport available to buy in 2024?

Not under a strict production-delivery definition. Damon had refundable reservations, but its 2024 filing said those reservations were unfulfilled and commercial production was not expected until 2026.

Why is the Energica Eva Ribelle listed at 125 mph instead of 150 mph?

The 150-mph figure comes from an older specification. The later EMCE-based specification for the Eva Ribelle RS lists a 125-mph top speed.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Are these independently tested top speeds?

No. This ranking uses manufacturer-claimed electronically limited maximum speeds. Independent testing may produce different results, and some motorcycles have separate sustained-speed ratings.

The Bottom Line

The Lightning LS-218 was the clear speed leader, but the Zero SR/F, Zero SR/S, and LiveWire ONE were more conventional purchases for many riders. Energica’s motorcycles were faster, yet their 2024 availability must be tied to the date because of the company’s October liquidation. The key takeaway is to separate a claimed top-speed number from independent testing—and a reservation or prototype from a motorcycle that was actually in production and obtainable.
