One timing detail matters: “2025 model” does not always mean the motorcycle first reached dealers during calendar 2025. BMW, for example, described the R 1300 GS Adventure as a 2025 model but gave it a U.S. market launch in the fourth quarter of 2024.

1. Yamaha YZF-R9
Yamaha announced the YZF-R9 on October 9, 2024, creating a new middleweight supersport around the company’s 890cc CP3 inline-three engine. It was expected to begin reaching U.S. dealers in March 2025 with a $12,499 MSRP.

- Rotating rubber tires, Working kick stand, Adjustable handle bars and front wheel
- Made of die-cast metal with plastic parts
- 1:18 scale; Perfect addition to your diecast collection

The R9 is not a smaller replacement for the YZF-R1. Its three-cylinder engine comes from the MT-09 family, while the R9 receives a dedicated supersport chassis and aggressive riding position. Yamaha Ride Control manages features including launch control, traction control, slide control, lean-sensitive ABS, engine-brake management, cruise control, and a variable speed limiter.
That combination makes the R9 notable for a reason beyond its styling: it offers a modern electronics package and track-oriented chassis without moving into the price and performance territory of a 1,000cc superbike.
2. BMW R 1300 GS Adventure
BMW’s R 1300 GS Adventure is an almost completely redesigned version of its large adventure motorcycle, rather than a minor update to the previous GS Adventure. Its 1,300cc boxer twin produces 145 horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque.
The most obvious touring feature is the 7.9-gallon aluminum fuel tank, which gives the bike long-distance range potential. Standard equipment includes Matrix LED lighting, four riding modes, Dynamic Cruise Control, and an updated frame and chassis. BMW also offers its Automated Shift Assistant, or ASA, which operates the clutch automatically.
BMW listed a U.S. launch price of $22,745 plus a $695 destination charge. The company announced a fourth-quarter 2024 market launch, so this 2025 model was already arriving in some markets before the calendar year began.
3. Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX
The Ninja 1100SX replaced the Ninja 1000SX in Kawasaki’s U.S. lineup for 2025. The sport-tourer uses a new 1,099cc inline-four rated at 134 hp at 9,000 rpm and 83.2 lb-ft of torque at 7,600 rpm.
Its appeal is practical as well as fast. The standard equipment list includes electronic cruise control, Kawasaki Quick Shifter, power modes, traction control, cornering-management software, smartphone connectivity, and IMU-enhanced chassis awareness.

4. Ducati Panigale V2
Ducati introduced a new-generation Panigale V2 for the 2025 cycle. This is not the previous 955cc Panigale V2 with a handful of revisions. Ducati designed the new model from scratch and moved it to an 890cc 90-degree V-twin with variable intake-valve timing.
The engine produces 120 hp and 69 lb-ft of torque. Ducati lists the standard V2 at 395 pounds without fuel and the V2 S at 388 pounds without fuel. Both versions use a five-inch TFT display, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine-brake adjustment, and Ducati Quick Shift up/down 2.0.
U.S. pricing was listed at $16,995 for the standard Panigale V2. The V2 S ranged from $19,995 to $20,495 depending on color. The result is a lighter, more compact sporting motorcycle with a different identity from the larger Panigale models.

The DR-Z4S gave Suzuki’s dual-sport range a substantial redesign for 2025. It retains a 398cc single-cylinder format, but it is not merely a fuel-injected DR-Z400S. The engine now uses electronic fuel injection and a ride-by-wire throttle body, while the chassis receives major changes.
New hardware includes a twin-spar steel frame, aluminum subframe, aluminum swingarm, and fully adjustable KYB suspension. Suzuki also added a three-mode Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, Suzuki Traction Control System, and the ability to switch off rear-wheel ABS.
Suzuki announced a $8,999 MSRP and anticipated dealer deliveries beginning in April 2025. For riders who want one motorcycle for pavement, gravel roads, and legitimate trail use, the DR-Z4S is one of the more important updates in this group.

6. Suzuki DR-Z4SM
The DR-Z4SM uses the same updated 398cc fuel-injected single-cylinder platform as the DR-Z4S, but it is engineered as a street supermoto rather than a dual-sport. Its 17-inch wheels, supermoto-focused suspension, and street-oriented braking hardware give it a different purpose.
It also receives the new twin-spar frame, aluminum subframe, adjustable KYB suspension, three riding modes, traction control, and a rear-wheel ABS-off mode. That last feature is particularly relevant to supermoto riders who want more control over rear-wheel behavior on a closed course or suitable private riding area.
The DR-Z4SM was priced at $8,999 in the U.S., with Suzuki anticipating deliveries from May 2025. It should not be treated as a DR-Z4S with a different wheel package; the suspension and braking setup are part of its street-supermoto mission.
7. Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 ST
Harley-Davidson revealed the Pan America 1250 ST on January 23, 2025. The company calls it an “adventure sport” motorcycle, and its equipment makes the intended use clear: commuting, paved back roads, touring, and fast street riding rather than maximum off-road capability.
The ST uses Harley-Davidson’s Revolution Max 1250 engine, lowered suspension, a 17-inch front wheel, premium street tires, and upgraded street-focused suspension and braking components. Those changes distinguish it from the more off-road-oriented Pan America 1250 Special.

Harley-Davidson said the new 2025 models were available through authorized dealers globally after the lineup reveal.
8. Harley-Davidson Street Glide Ultra
The Street Glide Ultra joined Harley-Davidson’s 2025 range as a regular-production Grand American Touring model. It is designed for long-distance travel, particularly for riders carrying luggage and a passenger over extended highway journeys.

Harley-Davidson revealed the Street Glide Ultra alongside the Pan America 1250 ST on January 23, 2025. The company also announced refreshed cruisers and CVO models at the same time, but those updates should not be confused with the two more clearly new regular-production motorcycles.
9. Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS
Triumph’s Speed Triple 1200 RS received a major update for 2025, announced on January 27. The high-performance naked bike continues with a 1,160cc three-cylinder engine, now producing 177 hp and 92 lb-ft of torque according to Triumph.
The update combines more engine performance with reduced weight, sharper handling, and advanced electronic rider aids. As a naked sportbike, the RS provides the aggressive acceleration and chassis performance of a superbike-style machine without full fairings.
Triumph’s U.S. model page listed a starting price of $21,545 for 2025 RS models. It is important not to confuse this motorcycle with the Speed Triple 1200 RX. Triumph unveiled the RX in May 2025 as a limited 2026 model capped at 1,200 motorcycles worldwide.

The 647.95cc twin produces 47 bhp and 38 lb-ft of torque. Classic design details include a teardrop fuel tank, twin chrome exhausts, a casquette-style LED headlamp, removable passenger seat, and retro-analog instrument layout. Dual-channel ABS is standard.

How to interpret 2025 motorcycle pricing
- Check the exact trim. A base model and an SE or S version can have different suspension, brakes, electronics, and pricing.
- Add destination charges. Kawasaki listed its $815 destination fee separately, while BMW listed a $695 destination charge on top of the motorcycle’s MSRP.
- Allow for dealer costs. Freight, setup, documentation fees, accessories, taxes, title, and registration can change the final purchase price substantially.
- Confirm availability locally. Manufacturer launch timing is not the same as the date a particular dealer has a motorcycle in stock.
FAQ
Which motorcycle on this list was completely new for 2025?
Several were all-new or new-generation models, including the Yamaha YZF-R9, Ducati Panigale V2, Suzuki DR-Z4S, Suzuki DR-Z4SM, and BMW R 1300 GS Adventure. The Ducati and Suzuki models were not just minor updates to their predecessors.
Was the Yamaha YZF-R9 a replacement for the YZF-R1?
No. The R9 occupies a middleweight supersport role and uses Yamaha’s 890cc CP3 inline-three engine, derived from the MT-09 family. It is not a direct replacement for the liter-class YZF-R1.

Did the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX belong to the 2025 model list?

The Bottom Line
The most significant 2025 motorcycle launches were not limited to one category. Yamaha and Ducati added serious new sportbikes, Suzuki modernized its dual-sport platform, Kawasaki expanded its sport-tourer, and BMW substantially redesigned its flagship adventure model. Harley-Davidson focused on road-oriented adventure and long-distance touring, while Royal Enfield expanded its retro 650 range.
Because model-year labels and release dates do not always match, these are best described as motorcycles introduced for the 2025 cycle—not bikes that are still waiting to arrive.
