Zenvo says its bespoke Mjølner 6.6-litre quad-turbo V12 makes up to 1,250 bhp on its own, making it, in the company’s words, the most powerful V12 fitted to a production road car. That is not the same as the Aurora’s up-to-1,850 bhp combined output: the higher figure includes electric assistance and varies by version. Zenvo’s July 2026 update said first customer deliveries were expected in the second half of 2027.
What is the Mjølner V12?
Mjølner is the combustion engine developed for Zenvo’s Aurora hypercar, in collaboration with MAHLE Powertrain. Zenvo describes it as a bespoke 6.6-litre V12 with four turbochargers. The company said on 4 April 2025 that the first engine example had been completed while Aurora development continued. Zenvo’s announcement presents the engine as designed for road use and identifies MAHLE Jet Ignition as part of its technology.
How much power does it make?
Zenvo gives the V12 alone an output of up to 1,250 bhp. The Aurora’s headline figure of up to 1,850 bhp is combined system output with hybrid assistance, not engine-only power. Zenvo’s current Aurora model page also lists a 9,800 rpm redline.
The figures have been presented at different stages of the programme. In its 2023 announcement, Zenvo specified 1,250 bhp at 8,000 rpm for the engine and up to 600 bhp of electric assistance; that release also gave the combined system figure as up to 1,850 bhp. Its later 2025 announcement stated the engine’s up-to-1,250-bhp output and the up-to-1,850-bhp combined figure without repeating the 8,000-rpm power point. The 2023 rpm figure is therefore an earlier company specification, not a substitute for the current model page’s redline. Zenvo’s 2023 technical announcement provides that earlier detail.

Is it really the most powerful road-car V12?
That is Zenvo’s claim. Its 2025 announcement calls Mjølner the most powerful V12 fitted to a production road car, but the company material does not provide an independent comparison or a ranking method. The 1,250-bhp engine figure is a manufacturer-published specification, not an independently measured result, so the superlative should be attributed to Zenvo rather than treated as independently verified.
How do the Aurora Agil and Tur differ?
Zenvo positions the Aurora Agil as a lightweight, track-focused but road-legal version, and the Tur as a grand tourer. The company’s July 2026 update says the V12 is paired with a triple electric motor system and that combined output can reach a targeted 1,850 bhp depending on variant. The total is configuration-dependent; it should not be read as the output of the V12 alone. The July 2026 update covers the variants and development programme.

Zenvo’s earlier overview described the Agil as rear-wheel drive with one integrated electric motor, while the Tur’s all-wheel-drive arrangement added a motor at each front wheel. Those details help explain why hybrid output differs by configuration, but they come from an earlier company overview; final production specifications may differ. Zenvo’s earlier Aurora overview describes those layouts.
When is the Aurora due?
In its 8 July 2026 update, Zenvo said Aurora validation prototypes were planned and that first customer deliveries were expected in the second half of 2027. That is a company target, not confirmation that customer cars have been delivered. The update also presented the Aurora Tur in production form at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026.

What is established about road use?
Zenvo describes Mjølner as designed for road use, but the company material cited here does not establish independent testing, real-world emissions results or regulatory certification in every market. Road-use intent should not be mistaken for proof of compliance in every jurisdiction.
