Furion’s M2 is a prototype based on the Yamaha MT-07 that adds electric drive at the front wheel while the bike’s 689cc twin-cylinder engine continues to drive the rear. That gives the concept two driven wheels under power—but it is not a production Yamaha or a confirmed conversion kit for MT-07 owners.
How the MT-07 hybrid’s front-wheel drive works
The production MT-07 sends engine power to the rear wheel. Furion’s M2 keeps that basic layout and adds an axial-flux electric motor in the front-wheel hub. Electronic controls coordinate the electric motor and combustion engine, allowing the front and rear wheels to provide drive at the same time.
Yamaha’s official 2025 MT-07 is powered by a 689cc liquid-cooled CP2 parallel twin and has an inverted front fork and twin front brake discs. Those are details of the production model; they do not verify the M2’s modifications or performance.
What Furion’s reported power figures mean
New Atlas reports that the front motor produces more than 20 electric horsepower and close to 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) at the front wheel. The same report puts the MT-07 engine at around 73 hp and the M2’s peak hybrid output at around 93 hp. NDTV separately reports the front motor at 20 hp and 300 Nm. These are reported figures, not independently reproduced test results.

The figures describe a claimed combined output, not a guarantee that both sources deliver peak power together in every riding condition. The available reports do not provide a measurement method or detailed operating data.
Regenerative braking: a claim, not a verified range result
Furion’s Eversor control system is described as managing power between the two drive sources. New Atlas reports the company’s claim that the front motor can recover up to 27% of the motorcycle’s kinetic energy during braking, and that the system can recover up to five times as much energy as a conventional single-motor arrangement. The reports do not give test conditions or independent validation, so these figures should be treated as Furion’s claims—not as a general result for motorcycles or proof of a particular real-world range.

Track-tested does not mean road-ready
New Atlas reports that the M2 was ridden at Pole Mécanique d’Alès Cévennes by Adrien Chareyre, identified in the report as a four-time Supermoto world champion. Furion told New Atlas that Eversor was “track-tested” and protected by international patents. The available reporting does not establish the patents’ scope, road certification, production readiness or consumer availability. A track test alone does not answer those questions.

The M2 is reported as a prototype, not a retail Yamaha variant or a confirmed aftermarket kit. New Atlas also reports Furion’s plans for a limited-series F1 motorcycle, with a target of about 100 units annually and a claimed range near 300 km, as well as an ambition to offer Eversor licensing to other manufacturers by 2029. These are future plans and targets, not confirmed deliveries or an open licensing program. The reports do not establish a price, order process, launch date or public licensing terms.
