Xiaomi’s “Kunlun” seven-seat SUV is no longer a secret: the vehicle Xiaomi announced is the SkyNomad N90 Max, a flagship extended-range SUV built on the company’s Kunlun architecture. Kunlun is the technical platform and systems label, not the consumer model name. Xiaomi published a combined range of up to 1,705 km under China’s CLTC test cycle; that is a manufacturer test-cycle claim, not independently verified real-world range.
What did Xiaomi actually announce?
Xiaomi introduced its Kunlun Technical Architecture and SkyNomad extended-range SUV series in July 2026. The seven-seat flagship is the SkyNomad N90 Max. The series also includes the N70 Max, a five-seat all-wheel-drive model. Xiaomi describes Kunlun as a system comprising the Kunlun Platform, Kunlun HyperRange, and Kunlun Total Safety. Xiaomi Auto’s July 30, 2026 announcement calls the SkyNomad series its first extended-range SUV series built on that architecture.
In its 2026 interim report, Xiaomi described the series as an “intelligent, reconfigurable, spacious SUV.” That wording is the company’s characterization, rather than an independent assessment.

The dimensions come from Xiaomi Auto’s July 2026 launch announcement. CLTC is the China Light-duty Vehicle Test Cycle. The 1,705 km figure is Xiaomi’s stated combined test-cycle range, not electric-only range or an independent road-test result. No independent real-world range or fuel-consumption measurement for the N90 Max is established in the sources cited here.

How is the cabin meant to work?
Xiaomi says the N90 Max has a full-length flat floor and longer seat-sliding rails, allowing the cabin to be arranged for seating, workspace, or a flat-bed layout. Those are manufacturer descriptions of the interior’s intended flexibility. Published information cited here does not establish independent measurements of third-row space, seat access, or how well each layout works with passengers and luggage.
What did it cost at launch?
Price reports refer to different stages. Xiaomi’s July 2026 announcement gave a pre-sale price of RMB 299,900 for the N90 Max. CarNewsChina reported a RMB 269,900 launch price on September 7, 2026. The latter is secondary reporting, not a price confirmed by the cited interim report; a primary final price list across trims is not established here. Where was it available, and when did deliveries begin?
In a September 4, 2026 post, Xiaomi’s verified channel said the N90 Max was available only in mainland China at that time. The company’s post does not establish whether availability later expanded. CarNewsChina reported that deliveries began September 13 across an initial 75 cities. That delivery timing and city count are secondary reporting.
For buyers outside mainland China, local availability, warranty coverage, servicing, charging and fueling support, and import rules need to be verified separately; the launch-period statement is not evidence of later market access.

What should buyers compare before drawing conclusions?
- Seating: Check whether the third row, access, and cargo space suit the passengers and luggage you actually carry. Xiaomi’s reconfiguration claims do not substitute for an independent cabin assessment.
- Range: Compare test cycles and distinguish combined range from electric-only range. The N90 Max’s published figure is a manufacturer-stated combined CLTC result.
- Price: Compare the same trim and distinguish pre-sale pricing from launch pricing; confirm the current official figure.
- Ownership access: Confirm local sales, warranty, service, charging and fueling arrangements, and import requirements for your market.
The available information identifies the vehicle and its positioning, but does not establish independent performance, full ownership costs, or a basis for declaring it better than a rival family SUV or extended-range vehicle.
