The Tesla Model 3 0% APR offer and free Performance options were reported in April 2025; they are not the terms Tesla currently lists for U.S. buyers. Tesla’s current U.S. offers page lists rates starting at 1.99% APR for qualifying Model 3 buyers, subject to order-date, credit, down-payment and availability terms. Check Tesla’s current offers page before ordering.
What Tesla’s 0% APR Model 3 offer included in April 2025
Notebookcheck reported on April 25, 2025, that Tesla had restored 0% APR financing for well-qualified U.S. Model 3 buyers with excellent credit. The reported promotion covered 36-, 48- and 60-month loan terms and required at least 15% down. It applied to orders placed after April 24, 2025. These are historical terms reported by Notebookcheck, not a current Tesla offer. Notebookcheck’s April 25, 2025 report did not establish a firm expiration date; its suggestion that the offer might run through the quarter was speculation, not a confirmed deadline.
Which free options were reported?
The report said selected paint and interior options were included at no additional charge on the Model 3 Performance: Deep Blue Metallic or Pearl White Multi-Coat paint, and black-and-white interior options. The reported free options applied to that configuration; they should not be read as a general offer for every Model 3 or as a current U.S. promotion.

Tesla’s current U.S. offers listing, retrieved shortly before October 5, 2026, shows promotional rates for qualifying new Model 3 orders placed on or after September 28, 2026. Rates and trim eligibility vary:

| U.S. Model 3 trims listed | Listed APR | Maximum term |
|---|---|---|
| Rear-Wheel Drive, All-Wheel Drive, Premium Rear-Wheel Drive and Premium All-Wheel Drive | 1.99% | Up to 72 months |
| Performance | 3.99% | Up to 72 months |
Tesla’s listed terms require well-qualified buyers with excellent credit to make at least 5% down, plus applicable taxes and fees. For the 1.99% offer, Tesla gives an example payment of $14.76 per $1,000 financed over 72 months. That is an example tied to the stated rate and term, not a personalized payment quote. Tesla also says it does not guarantee a buyer’s eligibility, vehicle eligibility or program availability. See Tesla’s U.S. offers page for the live terms.
How the historical and current offers differ
| Offer detail | April 2025 report | Current U.S. listing as of October 5, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| APR | 0%, per Notebookcheck’s report | 1.99% on listed non-Performance trims; 3.99% on Performance |
| Loan term | 36, 48 or 60 months | Up to 72 months |
| Minimum down payment | At least 15% | At least 5%, plus applicable taxes and fees |
| Trim and options | Reported free paint and black-and-white interior options for Performance | No free paint or interior option is established by the current U.S. listing cited here |
| Order-date condition | Orders after April 24, 2025 | Orders on or after September 28, 2026 |
The comparison reflects reported historical terms and Tesla’s later listing, not a quote for any specific buyer. Loan approval, vehicle configuration, taxes and fees affect the actual amount financed and total cost. The APR alone does not show which offer costs less overall for a particular purchase.
