The distinction matters because this is a concept created for a racing game. Without an official power specification and a clearly stated measurement basis, the headline number cannot be reliably compared with production-car horsepower figures or other Vision Gran Turismo concepts.
Is the Xiaomi Vision GT a real car?
It is real as a full-scale concept, but Xiaomi has not announced a production version in the official materials reviewed. Xiaomi says its global design team created the concept, which was unveiled at MWC 2026 in Barcelona. Gran Turismo calls it a concept electric hypercar. The concept is also a design study for the game rather than a disclosed road-car program. The announcements establish its styling and planned in-game appearance, not production plans, road certification, pricing, or a real-world performance package.
What is distinctive about its design?
Airflow-focused exterior
Xiaomi describes the exterior as “Sculpted by the Wind.” Its Active Wake Control System uses thousands of microholes to vary airflow in response to vehicle speed and posture, with the stated aim of reducing turbulence. Other named features include halo-shaped taillights and Accretion Rims.

Electrek reports aerodynamic figures attributed to Xiaomi’s 2026 press release: a drag coefficient of 0.29, a downforce figure of -1.2, and an aerodynamic efficiency rating of 4.1. Xiaomi presents the interior as a cocoon-shaped sofa cabin, pairing it with an X-shaped steer-by-wire wheel and integrated controls. Gran Turismo describes the experience as “racing on a sofa.” The concept’s cabin language is deliberately different from a conventional track-focused cockpit, but the announcements do not specify a production-ready interior or operating details for its steer-by-wire system.
When is the Vision GT coming to Gran Turismo 7?
Gran Turismo announced on October 3, 2026, that the Vision GT is scheduled to be added to Gran Turismo 7 as part of the Spec IV major update in October 2026. The announcement does not give an exact release day. Footage of the car was shown at the Singapore round of the 2026 GT World Series.
