The 2026 Winnebago Revel 44EC adds a side-facing seat and flexible living space to the existing 44E layout. Its bed, under-bed gear garage, galley, lounge and wet bath still have to fit within a 19-foot-7-inch van, so Winnebago’s descriptions point to a different use of the interior—not a measured increase in room. Revel Sport has a separate updated layout with a side-facing sofa; it is a distinct model, not another name for the 44EC.
What changed in the 2026 Revel floorplan?
Winnebago lists two 2026 Revel layouts: the 44E and 44EC. The 44EC builds on the 44E with a customer-inspired side-facing seat, multipurpose spaces, a power-lift bed and gear garage. Winnebago describes the seating as split-function and reclining, with a wall-mounted table or a side-facing sofa option. Its product page characterizes the 44EC as adding “a customer-inspired side-facing seat” and “smart multipurpose spaces.” (Winnebago’s 2026 Revel page)
The arrangement is intended to make the lounge useful in more than one configuration while preserving the van’s gear-focused storage. The bed lifts to reveal the garage below, where Winnebago specifies strategically placed L-track tie-downs; the galley and wet bath complete the main living areas. Those features explain how the interior is organized, but Winnebago does not publish a measured increase in floor area, interior volume or passenger space.
How Revel and Revel Sport differ
Winnebago’s 2026 Revel Sport is a separate offering with its own floorplans, 44N and 44C. The manufacturer describes an updated Sport interior with a new side-facing-sofa floorplan and a 3-inch WinnSleep mattress. Do not treat that sofa layout as the 44EC’s added seat: the names, layouts and published specifications belong to different series. (Winnebago’s 2026 Revel Series page)

What the layout means for day-to-day use
Seating and lounge
The side-facing seat and flexible lounge configuration offer another way to use the living area when the van is parked. The available product information does not establish how many belted travel seats the 44EC has, or whether the side-facing seat is approved for occupants while driving. Confirm travel seating and restraint details for the exact vehicle with Winnebago or a dealer; a living-area seat should not be assumed to be a passenger seat in transit.
Bed and gear storage
The power-lift bed connects sleeping space with the garage underneath: raising the bed provides access to storage, while L-track tie-downs help secure gear. If you shop for L-track cargo tie-down straps, check that their fittings and working-load rating match the installed track and the cargo. Winnebago’s specifications do not establish compatibility for any particular aftermarket strap, nor do they say that such straps are included.

Water and off-grid planning
The published freshwater capacity differs between the series: 35 gallons for the Revel 44E/44EC and 24 gallons for the Revel Sport 44N/44C. Treat these as manufacturer-listed capacities, not a guarantee of usable water under every setup. Water capacity alone does not establish how long a van can stay off-grid; the result depends on use and other equipment. Winnebago describes the Revel as having advanced lithium power, but the cited specifications here do not provide enough detail to compare battery capacity or runtime across these layouts.
