That figure was a pre-launch ceiling, not the final price: Xiaomi announced the original SU7’s actual prices three days later, ranging from RMB 215,900 to RMB 299,900.
What Xiaomi confirmed before the SU7 launch
In a report published March 25, 2024, Gizmochina said Xiaomi had confirmed an upper price point below RMB 500,000 for the SU7 and that Chinese Xiaomi stores had started displaying the car. The price indication came before the vehicle’s launch and should not be read as its asking price. Gizmochina’s March 25 report covered the pre-launch announcement.

Xiaomi’s March 2024 annual-results materials had already said the SU7 price would be announced on March 28. The company described planned launch coverage at 59 stores in 29 cities. Those figures refer to the planned launch footprint, not the size of Xiaomi’s later retail network. Xiaomi’s investor-relations materials also listed the SU7 Max at up to 800 km of range, 673 PS and 0–100 km/h acceleration in 2.78 seconds. These are Xiaomi’s specifications for the Max version, not independent test results.

The final original-generation prices were announced on March 28
At the Beijing launch on March 28, 2024, Xiaomi announced three SU7 versions. Xinhua reported a price range of RMB 215,900 to RMB 299,900, with initial deliveries expected in late April for Standard and Max and late May for Pro. Xinhua’s launch report covered the announcement.

The Beijing Dongcheng District Government reported that Xiaomi’s first direct-operated auto store opened at Oriental Plaza on March 28 with five SU7 cars on display. Its listed prices matched the launch figures: RMB 215,900 for Standard, RMB 245,900 for Pro and RMB 299,900 for Max. The district government’s account documents that specific Beijing store opening; it does not establish that every Xiaomi store displayed the same number of cars.
Those 2024 prices are not the current-generation starting prices
Xiaomi’s 2025 annual report says the new-generation SU7 launched in March 2026, with starting prices of RMB 219,900 for Standard, RMB 249,900 for Pro and RMB 303,900 for Max. These are Xiaomi-reported starting prices for the new generation, not revisions to the original model’s 2024 launch announcement. The report also says that, as of December 31, 2025, Xiaomi had 477 sales centers across 138 mainland Chinese cities; its definition includes delivery centers, sales and service centers, and Xiaomi stores. Xiaomi’s annual-report materials provide that later company context.
