Each number comes with a condition attached. The range is the result of a controlled Xiaomi test, and the 1000 W is a peak input value, not a continuous rating. Those qualifiers decide whether the figures fit how you actually ride.
What the 60 km range is measured under
Xiaomi attaches specific test conditions to its approximate 60 km figure. The stated conditions are:
- A load of 75 ± 5 kg
- A flat road
- An average speed of 15 km/h
- An ambient temperature of 25 ± 5°C
- Wind no greater than 3 m/s
The product page identifies the test as TIRT report OTA1-202403483. The publication date of that report is not stated in the material this article relies on, so the 60 km number should be read as a manufacturer test result, not an independent measurement or a guarantee for everyday riding.
Several common riding situations fall outside those conditions:

- Higher average speeds than 15 km/h
- Heavier loads than 75 ± 5 kg, including a rider with cargo
- Stop-start city riding with frequent acceleration from standstill
- Headwinds stronger than 3 m/s and temperatures outside 20–30°C
Any of these can reduce the distance you get from a charge. The test does not quantify by how much, so Xiaomi’s figure is best used as a baseline for comparing models, not as a forecast for your commute.
What the 477 Wh battery implies
Dividing the battery capacity by the tested range gives a rough energy figure per kilometre. This is simple arithmetic on Xiaomi’s two numbers, not a measured consumption value. The table shows how the implied consumption changes if you cover less distance from the same battery.

If your riding consumes energy faster than the test conditions, your real range will sit lower on this scale. Dividing the battery by the range you need is a quick way to check whether a figure is plausible for your route before you rely on it.

1000 W is maximum input power, not rated output
The 1000 W figure is the most frequently misread number on the product page. Xiaomi describes it as motor input power, measured at a maximum voltage of 54.6 Vdc and at maximum cutoff current. The table separates the two kinds of power rating a buyer is likely to encounter.

Do not treat 1000 W as the power you get on every hill or through every acceleration. When comparing with another scooter, check whether each brand’s figure is a peak input value or a continuous rating, because the two numbers are not interchangeable.

A tubeless tire does not use a separate inner tube. Xiaomi’s page does not describe puncture resistance or the tire compound, so do not assume the tires are puncture-proof. The suspension layout is also a product specification only; no ride-comfort test is cited on the page.
Energy recovery and battery management
Xiaomi describes an intelligent battery-management system and an energy recovery feature that can be configured in the Xiaomi Home app. The product page states: “The kinetic energy generated during gliding is converted into usable electrical energy to increase the riding range further.” This is Xiaomi’s description of how the system is meant to work. The page does not give a measured range gain from energy recovery, and the battery-management claims are not backed by independent testing in the material reviewed.
Folding design and carrying
The scooter uses a three-step folding design. Xiaomi’s page does not state the scooter’s weight in the material reviewed, so check the weight on the listing for the specific variant before deciding whether it suits carrying on stairs, public transport or in a car boot.

Launch timeline and current availability
Cinco Días reported on 16 January 2025 that Xiaomi had presented the scooter globally, with European availability expected in the months that followed. That report is a historical expectation from 2025. It does not confirm stock, pricing or a launch date in any particular country as of October 2026. Availability is set by regional distribution, so the current product and price should be checked with a retailer in your own market.
Before you buy: a country-specific checklist
- Confirm that the listed specifications, including range, motor power, weight and battery capacity, match the exact model and region you are buying.
- Check the local legal speed limit and where e-scooters are permitted to ride. These rules differ by country and sometimes by city, and the figures on Xiaomi’s page do not reflect them.
- Verify the current price, seller and stock with an authorised retailer or Xiaomi’s regional store.
- Confirm warranty terms and whether local service or spare parts are available before purchase.
- Use the charging adapter supplied with the scooter. Do not substitute a generic charger without checking its exact output specification against the scooter’s requirements.
- For maintenance or repair, follow the manual version that matches your region’s scooter, because procedures can differ between versions.
Xiaomi’s figures give a useful starting point for comparing the Electric Scooter 5 Pro with other models, provided you compare test conditions, peak and rated power, and tire and suspension specifications in the same way.
