Why did Ford stop making the Focus?
Ford has not published a model-specific explanation for discontinuing the Focus on its UK Focus page. It confirms the decision, but does not identify a particular sales figure, regulation, factory constraint, or executive decision as the cause. Ford UK’s Focus page is therefore clear about the outcome, not the reasoning behind it.
Ford’s wider European strategy provides context. What made the Focus iconic?
The Focus became a major Ford nameplate in Europe over a long run.
