The Carrera T and GT3 S/C are manual-only; the cited GT3 and GT3 Touring can be ordered with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed PDK. Porsche describes the Carrera S MT Package as exclusive to North America.

Which 911 configurations have a manual?
The table separates the seven configurations Porsche identified in its North American announcements from models that appear in the wider 911 range but are not established as manuals by the cited transmission information.
| Configuration | Manual transmission | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| 911 Carrera T coupe | Six-speed manual only | Porsche’s announcement covers the 2025 model year. |
| 911 Carrera T Cabriolet | Six-speed manual only | First offered as a Cabriolet in the 2025 model-year announcement. |
| 911 Carrera S with MT Package coupe | Six-speed manual | Announced in 2026; Porsche says the package is exclusive to North America. |
| 911 Carrera S with MT Package Cabriolet | Six-speed manual | Announced in 2026; Porsche says the package is exclusive to North America. |
| 911 GT3 | Six-speed GT Sport manual or seven-speed PDK | Porsche’s cited release covers the 2025 GT3. |
| 911 GT3 with Touring Package | Six-speed GT Sport manual or seven-speed PDK | Porsche’s cited release covers the 2025 GT3 Touring. |
| 911 GT3 S/C | Six-speed manual only | Announced in 2026; confirm ordering availability in your market. |
The count of seven is Porsche’s count for North America in its August 2026 announcement: two Carrera T body styles, two Carrera S MT Package body styles and three GT variants. It does not mean seven different model families, nor does it establish that every one is orderable at the same time or in every market.

Read each row as a specific configuration, not as a blanket statement about every car carrying a similar badge. The list includes two body styles for the Carrera T and Carrera S MT Package, plus three GT configurations. That distinction matters when comparing listings: “Carrera S” alone does not tell you that the car has the manual package, and “GT3” alone does not tell you whether its transmission is manual or PDK.
What distinguishes the manual 911s?
Carrera T: manual-only Carrera coupe or Cabriolet
The Carrera T is the straightforward choice among the listed Carrera variants if a manual is essential: Porsche describes it as manual-only. Its 2025-model-year announcement added the Cabriolet alongside the coupe, making open-top and fixed-roof body styles available in that model-year presentation.
For the 2025 Carrera T, Porsche specifies a 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer engine rated at 388 hp and 331 lb-ft. Its published 0–60 mph times are 4.3 seconds for the coupe and 4.5 seconds for the Cabriolet. These are manufacturer figures for that model year, not independent test results; they help distinguish the T’s published specifications but do not establish performance for later versions.
Recommended Free Tools
For a buyer narrowing the choice, the T provides the clearest answer to “Can I get a manual Carrera?” in Porsche’s cited 2025 lineup: yes, and the transmission is not presented as an optional alternative to PDK. Choose between coupe and Cabriolet based on the body style you want, then verify that the particular car is a 2025-model-year Carrera T or that a later model year retains the same specification.
Carrera S with MT Package: a North American manual option
Porsche announced the Carrera S MT Package in 2026 for both coupe and Cabriolet. Unlike the manual-only Carrera T, this is a Carrera S configuration that pairs a six-speed manual with a specific standard-equipment package. Porsche says it is rear-wheel drive and exclusive to North America.

That exclusivity applies to the MT Package described in the 2026 announcement. It should not be stretched into a claim about all manual 911s worldwide: Porsche’s cited material does not provide a complete global transmission chart for every model and market. Buyers outside North America should verify local offerings rather than assume the same package is available.
The practical distinction is therefore not simply “T or S.” The Carrera T is described as manual-only in the 2025 announcement, while the Carrera S manual is tied to the named MT Package in the 2026 North American announcement. If a seller advertises a Carrera S as a manual, ask for the build specification confirming that package and six-speed gearbox; a trim badge or broad model description is not enough to establish the configuration.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsGT3 and GT3 Touring: choose between manual and PDK
The 2025 GT3 and GT3 with Touring Package are the listed configurations that offer a choice between a six-speed GT Sport manual and a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. For a buyer who wants a factory manual but also wants a transmission choice within the same cited model configuration, these are the relevant options.
Porsche lists the 2025 GT3’s 4.0-liter naturally aspirated engine at 502 hp. Its published figures are 0–60 mph in 3.7 seconds and a 195 mph top track speed with the manual, compared with 3.2 seconds and 193 mph with PDK. These are Porsche’s figures in its 2025-model announcement, not the results of an independent comparison. The figures apply to the specified GT3 and transmission; they should not be transferred to a different model year or treated as a promise of real-world acceleration.
Those published figures illustrate one measurable distinction in Porsche’s specification: the PDK version is listed with the quicker 0–60 mph time, while the manual version is listed with the higher top track speed. They do not, by themselves, establish which transmission a driver will prefer. Both are factory choices for the cited GT3 and GT3 Touring, so a buyer comparing cars should confirm the gearbox on each individual build rather than assume all GT3s use the same transmission.

GT3 S/C: manual-only, with market availability to confirm
Porsche announced the 911 GT3 S/C in 2026 with a six-speed manual as its only transmission. Its manufacturer specifications are 375 kW (510 PS) and 450 Nm. Those ratings use metric units; they are not a separate independent measurement. Because the announcement does not establish ordering availability in every country, confirm local availability for the model year and build you are considering.
The S/C belongs on the list as its own GT configuration; its manual-only status should not be generalized to every GT3-related model. Porsche’s announcement names this model and transmission, while the 2025 GT3 material separately describes manual and PDK choices for the GT3 and Touring. Check the full model name in the order form or vehicle specification, especially when comparing an S/C with a GT3 or GT3 Touring.
Does a 911 model name guarantee a manual?
No. Transmission availability can depend on the exact variant, model year and market, so the broad name “911” or even a familiar trim name is not enough to confirm a gearbox. For example, Porsche describes the Carrera T as manual-only, while the cited GT3 and GT3 Touring offer manual or PDK. The Carrera S manual configuration is specifically identified as an MT Package in the 2026 North American announcement.
Porsche’s broader U.S. range overview includes families such as Carrera, Carrera 4S, GTS, Targa, Turbo S and GT3 RS. A range overview is not a transmission chart, however. The cited material establishes a manual for the GT3 and GT3 Touring, not for the GT3 RS. Do not infer a manual option for a family just because it appears on a range page or because another 911 variant has one.
For the same reason, a model name on a used-car listing is only a starting point. A listing may omit the package name, model year or transmission, and a model family can include distinct configurations. Ask for the original vehicle specification or have Porsche or the seller verify the individual build. The question to resolve is not merely whether a manual exists somewhere in the 911 range, but whether this specific car left the factory with one.

How to verify a specific car before buying
Use the exact vehicle and model year rather than a generic model listing. This matters for both new-car availability and used cars: the announcements establish factory configurations for specified model years, but they do not identify dealer stock or verify the transmission of any individual vehicle.
- Identify the model year and market. Ask whether the car is a 2025, 2026 or another model year, and whether it is a North American or other-market specification.
- Confirm the full variant name. Distinguish Carrera T from Carrera S with MT Package, and GT3 from GT3 Touring or GT3 S/C. For the Carrera S, confirm that the car is specifically equipped with the MT Package.
- Check the transmission on the vehicle’s build or specification. The listed manuals are six-speed units. For the cited GT3 and GT3 Touring, also check that the car is not configured with the seven-speed PDK.
- For a used car, verify the individual vehicle. Ask the seller or Porsche to confirm the factory specification for that vehicle, rather than relying on a listing headline, badge or generic model description.
- Confirm local ordering status if buying new. A manufacturer announcement does not guarantee that a configuration is currently orderable or available at a nearby dealer. Ask Porsche or the seller for the current market-specific status.
Keep a record of the details you confirm: model year, complete variant name, body style, market specification and transmission. For a GT3 or GT3 Touring, make sure the specification says six-speed GT Sport manual rather than seven-speed PDK. For a Carrera S, check for the MT Package rather than relying on “Carrera S” in the listing. For a car advertised as a GT3 S/C, verify the full designation and that the vehicle specification identifies the six-speed manual.
There is no single worldwide availability answer in the cited Porsche announcements, and they do not provide a universal ordering calendar or price list. If you need current stock, a delivery estimate or a price, ask a Porsche dealer for the specific model year and market. The announcements confirm configurations, not dealer inventory, transaction costs or a vehicle’s availability for a particular buyer.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the announced lineup does—and does not—establish
The announcements establish factory manual configurations for the named models and model years. They do not establish current inventory, future production, used-car supply, or whether a particular dealer can obtain a specific build. A configuration described for North America should not be assumed to apply in another region, and a 2025 specification should not automatically be carried forward to a later model year.

Porsche’s U.S. range page is useful for seeing the broader set of families, but it should not be used as proof of a manual option for a particular trim. For a purchase decision, the vehicle’s own specification and a current local confirmation are more useful than the family name alone.

Porsche’s North American CEO Timo Resch described the company’s approach in the August 2026 announcement: “While some brands are abandoning the manual, we are proud to continue offering three pedals in a range of products that speaks to different use cases. Managing a clutch and shift lever isn’t for everyone, but for the drivers who want it there really is no substitute.” The practical takeaway for a buyer is to start with the exact configuration and market—not to treat “manual 911” as one uniform specification.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Porsche 911 Carrera T come with a manual?
Yes. Porsche describes the 2025 Carrera T coupe and Cabriolet as having a six-speed manual as their sole transmission. Confirm the model year and specification if you are considering a later model year or a used car.
Can you get a manual Porsche 911 GT3?
Porsche’s 2025-model announcement lists a six-speed GT Sport manual or seven-speed PDK for both the GT3 and GT3 with Touring Package. The 2026 GT3 S/C is a separate configuration announced with a six-speed manual only.

Does the Porsche 911 GT3 RS have a manual?
The cited Porsche transmission information establishes a manual for the GT3 and GT3 Touring, but not for the GT3 RS. Do not infer the RS transmission from the GT3 name; confirm the exact model-year specification with Porsche.
Are all seven manual 911 configurations available to order now?
The seven-configuration count comes from Porsche’s North American announcement in August 2026. It does not guarantee that each model is currently orderable or in dealer stock in every market. Ask a Porsche dealer to verify the current model year, local ordering status and specific build.
The Bottom Line
Porsche’s North American announcements through August 2026 identify seven manual 911 configurations: Carrera T coupe and Cabriolet, Carrera S with MT Package coupe and Cabriolet, GT3, GT3 Touring and GT3 S/C. The Carrera T and GT3 S/C are manual-only; the cited GT3 and GT3 Touring also offer PDK. Because availability varies by model year and market, confirm the full configuration and transmission on the specific car before buying.
