Porsche lists the 2027 Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package at 2.1 seconds with Launch Control. Rimac quotes an even quicker 1.74 seconds for the Nevera, but that figure uses a one-foot rollout and the car is a limited-production, two-seat hypercar—not a direct sedan comparison.
A defensible top ten cannot be established from the available comparable, current specifications. Rather than fill the ranking with unverified numbers, this guide separates the strongest sourced figures and explains what each one measures.
Fastest substantiated luxury EVs: published 0–60 mph figures
The figures below are manufacturer-published claims, not a controlled head-to-head test. Porsche explicitly specifies Launch Control; Rimac specifies a one-foot rollout. The sources do not establish a shared launch or rollout method across all vehicles, so treat this as a comparison of published figures—not a universal track ranking.

The Taycan entries are distinct trims, not separate vehicle models. Their inclusion shows how much the headline time can vary within one model line. Porsche’s figures are for the 2027 U.S. lineup; other markets or model years may differ.

What the Lucid Air Sapphire figure means
Lucid’s August 8, 2023 production-specification release claims 1.89 seconds from 0 to 60 mph for the Air Sapphire. The same release lists 3.84 seconds to 100 mph, an 8.95-second quarter mile, and a 205 mph top speed. Lucid’s comparison page gives a broader 1.89-to-4.5-second 0–60 mph range across Air trims and cautions that specifications vary by trim, configuration, and model year. The company says its comparison reflects OEM-published and third-party data current as of March 2026. That range is not a single Air’s performance specification; check the exact trim and model year. How to interpret the Porsche Taycan times
Porsche USA labels its figures “0 – 60 mph with Launch Control” and lists them for the 2027 Taycan lineup. The quickest is the Turbo GT with Weissach Package at 2.1 seconds; the base Taycan is listed at 4.5 seconds. These are trim-specific manufacturer figures, not independent results. Because Launch Control is part of the stated condition, these numbers should not be presented as ordinary standing-start times without qualification. They also should not be directly compared with a figure that uses a different rollout convention unless that difference is made clear.

Why the Rimac Nevera is a separate category
Rimac publishes 1.74 seconds to 60 mph for the Nevera and attaches a one-foot-rollout footnote. The same specification page gives 1.81 seconds to 100 km/h (about 62 mph); that is a different endpoint, not an alternative 0–60 mph time. Rimac describes the Nevera as an all-electric, two-seat hypercar and says production is limited to 150 units. Its acceleration is relevant to the fastest electric performance cars, but the body style and rollout qualification make it a poor apples-to-apples substitute for a luxury sedan. Manufacturer claims versus instrumented tests
Published manufacturer specifications and independent tests answer different questions. A specification records what the automaker claims under its stated conditions; a test result records one publication’s measurement on a particular vehicle and setup. Neither should be silently substituted for the other.

Car and Driver reports that a previous 2024 Lucid Air Sapphire reached 60 mph in 2.1 seconds on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Its 2025 test vehicle had optional Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS Elect tires, which the publication identifies as a $2,900 option. This is a useful reminder that tire fitment and test setup can change a measured time; the reported 2.1-second result belongs to that specific 2024 test car, not every Sapphire. The available sources establish a strong Lucid claim, a fully specified 2027 Taycan trim range, and a Rimac figure with a distinct rollout convention. They do not substantiate ten comparable, current luxury EV models. A longer list would require verified figures tied to exact trims and model years, along with clear launch and rollout conditions; adding unsupported candidates would make the ranking look more precise than the evidence allows.

Tesla advertises 1.99 seconds to 60 mph for the Model S Plaid, but the opened product information does not expose the qualification attached to that number. It is therefore not included in the comparison table as an apples-to-apples result. Tesla Model S
What to compare beyond the sprint time
A 0–60 number is only one part of choosing a luxury EV. Before treating the quickest claim as the best fit, compare the exact trim and model year, the test or launch conditions, and whether the vehicle suits your daily use. Range, charging, price and availability are also important buying factors, but the cited performance sources do not provide comparable values for those categories.
